My answer is : I don’t think server will be available tonight because they have a lot of work ??

In case you don’t see that the « SERVER IS IN MAINTENANCE », a red icon, just click on it and you’ll see a message there :

« Hi all,

 

Server is on a scheduled maintenance today 15/05/2019. 

Estimated Duration: 2-3 days

 

We will keep you updated here!

I'll tell you what's going on. The administrators decided to put Linux as an operating system on their servers, as it is lighter and open source. But they chose an unsupported distribution (Debian) because they did not want to pay for being expensive. So they had a bug in the server and they went to a Linux users forum to solve the problem. A Troll user told them to use the sudo rm -rf / command and administrators did so hoping to solve the problem. However, by using this command, all server data, including backup, has been deleted and now wartale no longer exists just like our characters and items. It's a shame, but we can now, with everyone on level 1 again, pick the class that makes us happy and have a more balanced game, that's the good news.

The other good news is that they are improving the game and will also implement some changes, even the game starting from scratch. Finally Knights will have a horse and mechanics will have their own motorcycle.

I will try to believe you, if you state the facts more-but its hard for a MMORPG to used linux.

First of all, this is a joke, secondly, you think you understand technology. I have a degree in information systems and a MIT in Linux, so I made the joke. The game may not run on this operating system, but the servers where the game database is stored (as well as DNS servers, Firewall, Proxy, etc.) can (and should) be on the Linux operating system.
