The current state of Assassin's

Hello my Assissin pro players!

 

Could anyone enlighten me on the current status of Assassins?

 

Everyone I have spoken to has said they are crap, cant pvp, cant pve, die easy, no damage, yet none of them actually have an assassin themselves.

 

After looking at their weapons, and the huge % boosts from all of their skills I dont see how this can be true. It almost appears that they should have more damage than other melee dps as well has higher speed and evasion.

 

If any one who actually has a high assassin could let me know what you think, also if you have any videos of high end assassin game play with current patch that would be fantastic!

Assassin got extremely good DPS, but has hard time tanking , and since shes a close range char, less tankers want her as a killer. Also its an underated char atm cause she was underpowered for a long time. Her pvp , is based on hit and run mostly ( Pikes do it a lot, but I dont count them in that category, cause they can fight very well on their own ).

she also can still kill with her 1v1 skill, but there I do agree shes gonna have a hard time just a closed ranged class cannon, low AR, but can 1 hit ( as+pike combo). 

 

Thats about ass, she isnt weak, but underated mostly , she has strong and weak points like everyone, just her strengthens aren't popular amoung the players, she can excell in some situations, but those situations aren't popular to face ( I dont have a high lvl ass myself, its based on my low lvl 1, +what I see from parties/pvp with my 136-137 chars , I just  pay attention to details instead of saying x is weak, y is strong like everyone without actually checking it/my team mate performance :v )

Well... I am assassin player, not consider myself a pro, but may be I could give some light about the current status.

I made my assassin when class was released and compare to that times, the class now is AWESOME. I mean, u can play it.

On the early days the only way to lvl up her was leeching, low damage (so cant join in pt as killers), bad hp formula, etc.

Recently I had the opportunity to train her on diq, and as @TigerShank22 mentioned before the class have a bad reputation.

As killer on diq can go without problems, but ppl dont know that (or they prefer only mg and ss on their partys).

The dmg isnt a problem, the main problem is that is considered a mele for mostly of tankers (even when his aoe have range), and they dont like ppl around closer to them.

For SL it can kill pretty good on 1 vs 1, and of course need crystals for tank mobs (as almost every mele who go there).

Assassins are in a very good shape right now.

She is now one of the best AoE damage dealers right now if you combo her both DoT skills : Pollute and Shadow Bomb and keep both burn and poison always active.

In 1v1, she is very versatile and has a combo playstyle, much more than Pikeman. Her can keep her Deception while auto attacking (so she gains an additional damage boost and attack rating on every default attack), she can deal a much stronger poison damage with Venom Torn, apply a Slow and reduce enemy attack Damage with Whisp, and has a strong 1v1 skill with extra critical. She also has an AoE stun with moderate stun duration.

On PvP, her burst is weaker than Pikeman, but in counterpart, Deception works on all hits of any Assassin Skill. Outside of it, She runs faster and can backstab easier. Despite lower burst damage than Pike, she yields good assets like Party Evasion, AoE stun and damage debuff.

I have plenty of PvP videos and just some streams of PvP, but they were done with Knight, not Assassin.

awsome guys, thanks for all the posts so far, has been really helpful. Does anyone know is a Cuepy armor would work with shadow bomb? 

and if so make much differnce? Though it could help to stay out the way of tank perhaps. Just stay in Deception and spam shadow bomb from a bit of a distance?

Hmm wonder why not as it has a range of 50. I even think if this was possible if could help them alot with leveling. As people say they are one of the hardest classes to train. @Wartale

hi bro, I'm from lvl 144 dagger138 + 20, I have a friend who is lvl 144 ms, it's sad that my skills don't fall, I die without even being able to hurt him, the blows don't hurt, when they use shild it's worse, what I can say is that murderer only bears the name. That explains why there are so few asses. ass is the most expensive character uses 2 daggers, imagine the cost of putting it + 24 to be mean in pvp.
