A 12x mage (not even pure spirit, with 100 pts into health) can kill my 130 mech with 2 DRs. But I don't know if this a problem with the mage's atk, or the mech's ability to tank. I believe it's a combination of both, but I guess it's only fair to see how things turn out after t5 is fully released before any extensive revision to skills. Even though the thought of getting 2-hitted by a mage 10 lvls lower is a little ridiculous

well if u were playing the time i was playing back in december, and u see my mage VieT in game, first thing u will think of, this mage is very pro and look at his gears, ''hacks'' which i dont.

im not trying to say anything bad about other mages, i didnt mean it that way, i proabably use the wrong word''suck'' but wat i meant was only a few people know how to play mage and aalot of people join the mage band wagon ( magewagon ), i see mages here and there that switch from pikes to mage fighter to mage etc etc like they know how to play mage now

 

i played mage all my life

 

and long time ago i was most mages helper including 3r, like people would ask for advice etc etc cause we were very good ingame with mage, from hunting to pvp to tanking.

Look at what I said, I said we should wait for all t5skills to be out before considering extensive revisions on skills.  And as for it not being a 1-2 hit KO skill, you've tested it with me yesterday, you know what it's like. Regardless of whether or not trine shield for mech is released, it is still a 1-2 hit KO skill right now.

and mage cant tank at all, ( my mage can cause i stats my way and i use 11 buffs)

anyways they can test a few things and lower it, idc much but if it make mages suck then that won't be fair

just because you don't 1 hit people with a skill doesn't mean that it's not a source for problem. If you're 2 shotting a mech, you're probably 1 shotting an archer, 2-3 shotting other chars; and this is with a 10 lvl discrepancy.

 

I concur that server lag doesn't help, and perhaps things will be better when server lag is fixed, but its still too much firepower imho. And no, they're not going to work exclusively to fix just one skill, I believe if they do fix amplify for the better, it will be fixed and released together with other skills, just like how they released 2 other skills while nerfing maximize. And if they fix maximize, they won't make mages suck, just like how they gave maximize a reasonable nerf.

I have not seen you online for months, things change and I can tell you that 3R is not the only PRO mage out there anymore. We are alot of mages who played in other servers and is high lvl here with no donation equip and high age items.

Myself? I have played a mage in every server I been since back in ept when there was only tier 1. Thats loyality and addiction to the class.

Its okay, I don't blame you for getting upset when people suggest FIXING your class by removing your ability to 1 or 2 shot chars 10 lvls higher than you.

 

Reading what people say before ranting senselessly would help your case too. No one wants to reduce mages to magic source slaves, nor would they want to reduce prs to nothing but VL whores. All I'm saying is to make it less ridiculous, when a mage kills someone 10 lvls higher in 2 DRs, something is wrong.

 

Not gonna derail this thread further cuz all you do is ignore what I post and misrepresent me by crying bloody murder, I've said what I wanted to, and hope the GMs and 3R review it. if they don't, I'm cool with it too.
