NEED HELP CHOOSING CHAR

Hey here's the thing. i've always played in the original ePT with fighter, and now on realm im quite new so i did a fighter...i placed lvl 10 cyclone strike cause i love area of effect skills, however i got to lvl 90 and its taking me AGES to lvl up, since cyclone strike has static damage, so i cant kill strong monsters fast, such as the ones of heart of perum...

so my question is, what other char is there that could tank a decent spawn in strong maps (so it need high defence), but that at the same time has strong area of effect skills and would lvl up MUCH faster than fighters??? i was thinking maybe ata, prs, mage, or knight (ive been told they are good in Wartale)

which one do you think is best for lvling up and tanking good strong spawns?? mech, pike, and archer i dont really like, so please just tell me from the above four...

 

also, since ive never played with anything that isnt fighter, if you could also tell me good ways in which to distribute stats, since for example mage the one time i had one i had REALLY hard time making it have a good defence...

 

so basically what i need is a char who can: LVL UP FAST, TANK GOOD SPAWNS, AND HAS AREA OF EFFECT SKILLS (i dont care about pvp)

Depends on what build you really want there's alot of different builds

 

Try reading through these posts in atalanta sub forum hope it helps...
