Why earthquake ???

I saw a live from my friend VoadoraNaVaca, and they always told me that wizard is bad here at Wartale. And I who played BPT, I'm tired of weak wizards. I plan to buy 1 wizard 150+ as soon as I get more money. But I was sad because the wizard was bad at PVP. That's when I saw today, 2 mages who killed very well. They didn't give sudden death, but they did very good damage. Which puzzled me ... Isn't the wizard bad at PVP? And then the biggest question: Why did they use earthquakes when they could use flame wave or another skill? Can anyone answer? Do other skills do more damage? Is it really worth buying a 150+ wizard? Thanks in advance!

Magician currently does not have a good 1v1 skill, since death ray is too weak compared to most of its AoE skills. You are right thinking flame wave, meteorite or spike stone would be a better option than diastropism, but those 3 are nerfed with -50% damage on PvP only, and, diastropism is not, so if you want to make big AoE damage, it is the way to go.

 

I think if you like magic chars its a better option to get a SS since its good in all parts of game, but if magician is exactly what you like ofc you should proceed. Today magician is not in the best position, but since flame wave changes its more on the good side of characters, you can easily find party for exp or hunt
