Will powermechs be viable after this patch? Thoughts?

    * Mechanician Maximize Boost x 4 damage

Do you think the 4x dmg boost for maximize should improve the output enough for mechs so that it'd be viable for them to go this build for hunting? Maximize used to be considered as one of those really gimpy skills before this.

 

From what I've heard, AR seems to be a big issue in hunting. Pikes have the t5 AR boost, and knights' GC AR boost is just out of this world. Should mechs' GS be buffed in AR too so that they can maaaaybe catch up to the hunting prowess of these classes?

Mechs should hit as much as knights, yea, or at least fighters. Lowest base damage, lowest attack skill, lowest critical and now lowest attack rating. That makes no sense. It's OK they got lowest base damage 'cause they can go tanker, so wouldn't be nice getting high damage. With 200% on Maximize they do around the same average damage knights do, and they're supposed to tank around the same too (knights with defense boosted and mechs with extra abs), makes no sense to me making them the worst meele class in every single point of dealing damage

Yeah, that's how I felt about it as well. I hope the damage increase will move the dps up similar to a knight's output. It really makes more sense that mechs will do more consistent damage as compared to a pikeman. I mean, we're not really a dedicated dps class. I'm looking forward to this change.

 

How do you think a powermech should be specced at 120+? I've looked at a few skills and it seems like I have leftover points. I was considering:

Max10

Mwm10

GS10

??

??

Comp10

Golem10

Impulsion(?)

gswinter, the base of a powermech is:

 

max, mwm, gs, comp(T4).

 

At 120 you can use four more skills at lv10 (2 T1/T3 and 2 T4).

 

My opinion:

 

Train with impulsion is very hard, belive me. I stop to train, when i want to play powermech.

I always use mag sphere.

You can use golem to hunt (powermech is not exactly the best hunter...kkk).

If you like/need to change for 1h+shield in pvp, you can add ES (or Trine shield in future).

If you want to spend all your points, you can put them in Auto, and just reset stats to go hunt as an automech, for fun.

That sounds about right. Thanks so much for your advice. I've been going back and forth on several ways and methods of hunting or xping as a mech, but from what it seems with how you build it, it looks like a powermech can switch up some weapons and go back to xping tankmech.

a good update dmg

200% new maxzimize add more 150% from max weapon

weapon max 130-150 average 140 dmg

max dmg add 210

~100 add fix dmg average min-max dmg from old skill

 

but on the missing hit frequently on GS(grandsmash)

that still never make mech can compare with KS/FS/PS

KS grandcross add 80% atk rat ~1600 add

FS avenging add same like KS

PS mastery add 1xxx atk rat

I guess we need open and put lv 10 Extreme shield, cuz SS dont work 2H and MS still lv 10 because we need a lot of defense =D

FS atk rat 2xxx + 3xx + 160 for avenging and concent skill

PS atk rat 2xxx + 1xxx for tier5

MS atk rat 2xxx + 400

but why still miss..??

Just an honest question. How can those classes have 2xxx attack rating besides adding lots of agility?

not even with +20 wpn, bom bracs and vrings etc...
