EnvyMe 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2010 I may have missed a post or something but, i haven't seen any updates on t5 in a bit. My main reason for this topic though is i was curious, Chimera one of the Atas t5 skills, is it not there anymore? I remember seeing a few and in the progress topic it said that you just go to the skill master on an 8x ata and you get t5? Also, are all the skills going to come out at once or are you guys like finishing up 1 skill per class then releasing? Just curious t5 is exciting. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The effect you're seeing is indeed from the Stone Golem, for the prototype, I have not yet made a final decision on whether to make the stone spike be a 360 degree circle around Magician or only on its front like you can see on the picture (discuss here if you want). I have made quite some progress but I prefer to keep most stuff for next week, when I will be posting daily updates on the t5 progress as I will be working on it daily (I'll finally have some real free time) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So mages already had Diastrophism. Here is my point: if you want to get some extra damage on your skills(which is VERY underpowered with the server's formula) you have to put status on wp, BUT if you do that, you cant tank because you have to be closer of mob to hit him....so all magician just put almost all remaining status points on VIT to have chance to do something with Diastrophism (t3 skill) and Meteor (t4 skill), or just dias if you have Distortion (nerfed debuf), also the cast of all atk skills is too slow...that s why mage' skills are too weak (low dmg plus slow cast plus wasted status point on vit to survive plus no critical efect plus no forces add on AoE skills) Also magician skills usualy do stunning on monsters until I2, above of I2, dias do stunning on monsters only in Ice 1 and Ice 2, Above Ice 2, stay closer a high lvl monster without stun is non sense with skills TOOOOO weak and slow cast. Magician supose to be able to kill a lot of monsters in the same time but is no viable with all these condictions. That s why magician dont hurt monster in high lvl maps above Ice 2, so thats why there are few magician on the server. My sugestion is to make Stone Spike like Meteor way: click on a target monster and a GOOD AoE ( PLEASE, Wartale, do a good job on RANGE, DMG and Hits of that skill......another weak skill in t5 is unacceptable ^^) skill start from the target, BUT with a cast in 1 sec., faster than meteor (like the delay of Stone Spike lvl 10). So mages can invest in wp again and earn some extra dmg for doing a decent job on high lvl maps. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Dias hits 2 times for the lower castingspeed and has similar formula (not sure after last SB if changed) as CL. Hm dont see dias on elemental res topic so it was maybe always working with full dmg on mobs and the removed res on mob were no big boost on dias? Get some tanks in front of u and not just min spirit req of robe isnt working? Since old huntmaps r new expmaps they r ofc hard to tank and should try in party. Btw tried Watornado? Atm all classes need party on rpt for good xp. good point, but i m not comparing prs with mgs. dias hits 2x, but need to tank mob to use it (you can use it and run and just take some hits, but the ping from sv dont allow you to do that with dias) Meteor have a long cast that leaves the caster vulnerable, and a few sec. delay. FW is a good one, but it isnt like meteor: when you select a target, FW effect area is from the caster until the target, so if you want some distance betwen you and the monster, even with a tanker, it should hit once only, and hit just the target (range is 200 in lvl 10 and push enemy away from the effect area after 1st hit, so you need to use FW with mob next to you to hit a lot of them).... Watornado could be a good skill.......but dont with current formula. All current AoE mage skill's formulas is: static dmg + % of SE + (wp/2 + min Weapon atk*2) ~ static dmg + % of SE + (wp + max Weapon atk*2) Sure that mage can put a lot of wp....just dont have a good skill to allow him to do that. Thats why i m suggesting that Stone Spike could be like Meteor, but with a faster cast (delay must to be 1 sec in lvl 10). Comparing with CL from prs, CL have a nice and safety range from the target mob and after 1st lightning it binds to another mob which may be farther than caster and so on (9x). So you can put a lot of wp and make CL stronger without delay. Remember that PRS have VL which means +30% hp to survive. Ice Meteorite should be a powerful skill with 1 sec delay too. Thunderstorm seems to be the greatest buff ever. Finally Magicians needs a good skill too... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I can image that its hard with the strong mobs to stay in the middle of a spawn w/o some tanks around u and VL. Since last SB Im not sure about currect skill formuas, so duno if WF is also WP/2 - WP but I thnik so. With this huge hellspawns u reach the max targetlimit so fast with CL, should be good with some real aoe skill - go for WT - Met combi But hm... alot prs r high health too Thunderstorm wont be such a great skill and is no buff o0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
