Howdy riders,

As many must know, the art team is working on unique mounts for each class, which does not interfere with the development of other features.

But before you have it in your stable, we would like to know what are your the expectations for each class mount. The more suggestion we have, the more precise our decision will be to guarantee a fabulous mount matching the style of each class!

Description: Shamans are closely related to the spiritual world and the dead. Historically, worms, and arthropods like scorpions, spiders and centipedes are depicted as symbols for these cultural relationships with death and decay. A spider would be a nice fit for what the shamans stand for in Priston.

Image:  the golden lion mount from Perfect World. 

Description: Atalantas are the amazons of Priston, perfect representations of the female physical strength. The amazons are usually illustrated horseback riding, but horses are already a common mount, so I thought of something that brings back the connection atalantas have with the spirits of her ancestors and the sense of power inherited through them, and a nice animal representation of that could be a lioness, similar to the one from PW (golden aura, no mane, still close to the pet chimera).

That's the only "animal" I can think about that matches Pikeman's style.

*The mount should have dark blue skin color;
*Design him as "Scythe" theme, like: scythe blade tail and scythe-like wings;
*Armored with bones: shoulders, chest, legs and head.

I know that some will not like the bat? as a pet/mount, but I see the PS as a night class that likes the shadows. ?

That's my suggestion for this class. Cerberus rules the gates of hell and Shamans is the one who can tame them.

*Should have red and black skin color;
*Some flames as decoration: paws, jaw and tail;
*Maybe a rotting appearance.

I think everything must be consistent with the story of the character ...

 

For example, Atalanta your story has to do with the bear .. So ...

 

ATALANTA was an Arkadian heroine--a huntress and a favourite of the goddess Artemis. She was exposed by her father at birth in the wilds but was suckled by a she-bear and afterwards found and raised by hunters. ( https://www.theoi.com/Heroine/Atalanta.html)

 

 

I think it is important to leave bearish structures mediaval and not modern to preserve the coherence of the game.

 

 

 

 

ARCHER: The main symbol of the Archer in the game is the eagle, or Phoenix, but I believe that the eagle is more consistent in a mount ... Therefore:

eagle is an agile animal, focused and with great precision to get its food that is also very characteristic of the archer.

 

 

 

So I think an interesting mount would be the "griffin" for archer.

i prefer something mediaval working with archer too, but the latter seems to me to be a combination of eagle + phoenix which would be consistent too.

 

 

 

 

For now I just left these but I will post more suggestions according to the time.

For now I ask the Staff to look at the characteristics of each character a lot before making the mount, just as they did in the T5 skill of the wartale which is very consistent.

Wolf is the most straightforward option for Archer, right? A new version for wolverine would suit it well? Since griphon is recurrent in most of the classes , it's still in our option list.

Not sure about horses for knight , because there's enough horses for now , need be something more epic haha

The team is being careful with archetypes and background of each class, our purpose is to be in tune with what the players want.

good that you have knowledge about the archetypes of Jung or Plato, I think that these together with mythology are fundamental to create anything in wartale.

Priestess to me has always been associated with life and death, resurrection, moon etc ... spiritual and powerful.

It has several esoteric symbols related to priestesses, but none of them can make a mount ...

So I thought of Anubis, or jackal ...
This has always been related to the world of the dead.

as a priestess she is a spiritual entity that makes this bridge between the 2 worlds ... There are several other suggestions for your mount ... Like mounts based on angels, etc ...

 

 

another animal very associated with wisdom = characteristic of the priestess is the owl: ( but this strong symbol can be used for shaman or magician too, but I don't know if it would match.)

Elements that for me characterize the class in the priston: Fire and earth  (connection to earth).

 

For me a strong animal that symbolizes the fighter is the Lion, or any other feline ...

In this one my fave is the bottom left machine, but the concept is the same

 

Description: 4 legged machine-like mount, with movement similar to the Beetle (tier5 monster). IMO Mechanician's profile matches it perfectly, metal armor, metal golem, mechanic monsters resistance

Mages are connected with Elements and Nature. A Deer matches very well Magic, mysticism and Nature.

*Mage's Deer Mount have to looks like multi-colored, representing Fire (red), Water (blue), Earth (brown), Wind (green) and have some Lightning & Shining bright around him;
*He should have these fluttering ribbons plants coming from his back;
*...and big beautiful horns.

Description: I don't really know why but the moment I thought of magician this comes to mind. Elephants are considered, by diverse cultures, spiritual, wise and powerful animals in deep connection with nature and life around them; since Magician's are elemental masters of nature I think it suits them. Although elephant Indian/african decorations suit more shaman-like style, I think the described idea goes first, also SS should (IMO) have a dark/night associated mount

Considering elephants are slow creatures, maybe a big mount (big steps) so it doesn't look like its on drugs

Also an option... but im not so convinced, what do you think?

 

Description: Just as pikemans or assassins, this are dark, effusive but majestic and lethal creatures. Personally I think panthers fit more the assassin fast and slippery movements but since both chars are pretty similar I like the idea for both. I really like the blueish purple like light tones on this animals I think it matches perfectly the classes colors and style.

Last pics are an option for a pike/ass, a thin skeletal death hound, so idk panther for ass, hound for pike. Must say its similar idea to as wolverine ...

Well.. Im not really a fan for a wolverine remake, don't get me wrong, it fits perfectly the class, but we already have wolverine and I think this is a great opportunity to be creative and fill our chars style. So for archer I like more the idea of keeping the nature and birds close: Phoenix hippogriff or hippogriff, an adaptation of those or even a Magic/nature deer (I imagine peach, light brown colors) but the last also suits for prs

I know its a phoenix but I think the legs are super well done as example of how could they look on a 4legged mount, it could also have feline legs

Also this is something like this could look amazing!!

I also like this idea of a nature-like deer, something I keep on my sketchbook (pics not mine), maybe in more archer-like colors. I also think this could fit a priestess, same as hippogriff, but I'd go for an owl-hippogriff for prs, it looks more clean, saint like, I find it hard to think abt mounts for her.

 

Description: Archers are also in deep connection with nature (FoN) specially with fire element and falcons. Phoenix Hippogriff is a creative mount for a fire-red looking class, I can see archers transforming their mount into a phoenix shot!. 

In the same nature-connection idea deers are the perfect example, wisdom and nature. As said it could have its colors changed to match archers better, maybe giraffe patterns, big antlers full of leaves and moss or fire-like looking

 

• Priestess

If hippogriff is considered for priestess I think it would be amazing if it had a Barn Owl face, its white and mysterious, I think it gives it a nice vibe.

 

 

Description: Just like priestess icy, cold, and shiny white, bluish and pink tones. Strong but saint and majestic, classic Pegasus or hippogriff (pls consider owl face), and also a polar bear, that matches its ice skills. As said before deer is a nice option, its calm saint-like looking!! but ofc more fairy like would match prs better!
