beaker1337 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 Are hp mixes in armor actually worth anything? I have seen ppl post HP mix it.. but i dont understand why. Mp mixes give better def and abs. Wouldnt that be better than hp? And wouldnt that actually cause you to pot less if you dont have to worry about mana? Yea i know mana is everywhere and with consumption times your still gonna need it.... But is 60 hp worth 200 def and 2 abs?
Edgardo 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 I think it's a way to try to make some mix which magic classes will use, since they have low hp, or another mixes with AR to ranged and MP to melees. But they totally failed, since mp mixes are the ones which worth most. 60HP is nothing compared to some def plus ABS. Just my opinion, not the truth.
beaker1337 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 I thought mp mixes sere best also... which is why i was wondering about posts in some of the build threads... i wasnt sure if i missed something. or maybe just old info?
cat0048 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 don't abs absorb damage on a 1 for 1 basis? so an extra 200 def = 2 abs and 21 abs for a total of 4 is only absorbing 4 hp per monster hit. where as 60 hp could absorb... well... 60 total hp. so unless you have more than 30 monsters hitting you, which i guess some people do, then hp is better. especially when you add vl into the mix. This is assuming abs works the way I have been told, it may not.

beaker1337 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 Why is it when talking about def and abs, people only look at abs? 200 def is 200 def + 2 abs. So if the chance you dont get hit goes up well then you take 0 damage. and potting is easy specially for 60 hp. So, does 60 hp mean the diff between life and death? or would abs and def? and you lose 100 def and 3 abs for your 60 hp. is it a fair trade off? and hp mixes cost more. beaker1337 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 Sorry i was looking at it from a PvE perspective.. I can see the upside to PvP to using hp mix However, that would mean mixes are better for PvP? and age not so much..... maybe....
Zero 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2011 You're looking at a purely 1 v 1 situation, in which most cases make HP better. Don't forget in PvE maps like ft1, you may be tanking 20+ monsters. While that 60 hp doesn't change one bit regardless of the number of monsters, that extra abs is reducing damage from every monster. 2-4 damage on one monster may not be much, but when combined with many monsters it adds up rather quick and makes you much more efficient at guessing where you need to pot. I also believe abs helps reduce the damage range of monsters greatly with little changes sometimes [just speculation]. In short: Abs - increasingly better with more monsters over HP HP - vice versa This is why HP is better for hunt and abs better for exp.
jaysoncg333 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 choose what you think will do better. sometimes it also depends on your class. u have the right to choose. there is always a mp or a hp mix. it's really up to you .
babyarcher 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 Mobs hit differently in different maps as well. Against mobs from hunt maps, HP is better. Against mobs from exp maps, abs is better (in the context of PvE).
