Feelings of AW Daily Quest after New Patch 5169

Hi all,

Today i saw the new patch 5169 note and it says Renewed Monsters and Spawn Points in AW and Magic Cruet daily quest now has Party Kills enabled. It is so nice that GM pays attention to the old maps and makes some change, and also really a good news for somone trainning mainly by daily quest like me. So i have a try with party and here is my feelings:

the quest is still not very easy to complete, not worth doing for me. First, for each Nihil only gives about 1% in average, that means i need to kill 100 Nihil to finish, that's double the amount of SL daily quest. Secend, the Nihil spawns so few, comparing to the undead mobs in SL, at the AW NPC with 6 members full, we still offen got no Nihil to kill for minutes. Even if the Nihil spawns as the same odds as the undead mobs in SL, it is still about half the amount because there are two kinds of undead in SL.

That means theoretically it's 4 times longer to complete the AW daily quest than SL one. And in fact that's correspond to the result, i spend about 2 hours to finish it(first 50% in full party, 50-75% in 3-4 men party, 75-100% solo), comparing 30-40 minutes to SL quest pure solo by myself. If i could do it in full party till the end, i think it will still costs about 1 hour or more to be done,  and considering it's not easy that you always get a full party all the time. That is not so efficient for me, coz i only got a few time to play each day, and maybe there are some others like me too.

So i wonder if there could be more slightly changes that could makes the AW daily quest easier and more efficient. For example, change the Nihil kill count to 2% per mob, or add more Nihil spawns, or make Nihil spawn in pair like the bomb mobs. If so, it would be very nice to get a new train method.

 

(the following is me talking nonsense, dont take it serious^^?)By the way, i notice that All Solo and Daily Quests now give at least some EXP and Gold. I think the original intention is very good, for those newbies or low lvl ones who can't farm gold to get some initial fund so they can buy some basic gears or others, help them pass through the tough time. But the mechanic and the amount of gold may somehow leads to inflation. I know a lot of people got a bunch of chars, for one with full 14x party, the gold from daily quests(ICq, SLq*2, AWq) each day could be 5kk*6*4=120kk, that's 1GB every 4 or 5 days. You may say it's not very lot of gold, nothing needs to be suprised at. But the point is that it's constantly increasing the supply of gold, without additional costs, for 99% people who stick to do daily quest everyday before, they will still do daily quest after, the stability makes it differ. Maybe i'm wrong about this, but i would be happy to if i could help you to make this game better.

I think it would be better if it is to kill a certain amount of monsters in that map than a certain monster.

Good suggestion from lovebliss, and taking into account of your consideration frostlion, of it being too easy, maybe change it to a type such as demon type since there are 2 demon types in AW. It will increase the kill rate but no by an insane amount.

That's also a good idea. But i like Nihil, it's very cute, i want to kill it, just bring me more Nihil^^?

that means exp, hunt, and gold all together, you do one thing everyday, and you get all, this is the goal?

 

hmm.. if exp, hunt and gold are all together squeeze into the quests, then other ways of farming become less fruitful and less incentive, then also gold inflation, drop inflation and level inflation will all be altogether too, I mean they are all together already if you look at our SS now, and SL in the past few years, staying in SS full-time provides everything a players' need, gold, drop and exp, now with the addition of the gold reward in quest, it's crazy, 

 

the game was played to rotate from money play to hunt play to exp play and sometimes event play, now exp, drop and hunt all together in one place, so all the inflation will be in one place too, 

 

all players benefit, you get everything by playing in IC, AW, SL, SS, you don't have to farm different place like a decades ago, you farm somes SoD, you farm some EXP, you farm some HUNT, the goal in the past few years is clear you just have to farm in one place to get all, the good thing is you save your time by sticking in one place, the bad thing is inflation because everyone is farming everything in the same way. 

 

drop can be controlled, so we don't have drop inflation, but level and gold can't, we already have level inflation and gold inflation in the past, it's just up and down like stocks,

Wow, that's much deeper, i didn't see that. You share a very good point, i agree with you. Exp, hunt, farm gold, they just can't be done by one thing together, or the game will make all resouce gather towards some few hardcore guys, that's not good for the game in a long term.

SL quest takes me about 25 minutes, SS quest takes me about 45 minutes.  AW quest takes HOURS..... I wish there was a way to shorten that.   I can tank SS and SL but I cant tank AW so I would have some use for my crystals IF the AW quest changed because I dont bother with it the way it is now and just sell my crystals.  I wish you could just hunt all monsters to fill the cruet or do like the SS and find 5 things at random by killing anything.

I really dislike staying in just one map for a long period of time.  It gets super boring.  Plus the drops in SS and SL dont sell as fast as the lower level drops from ET1 and CT3.  I wish those maps hadnt been changed to get rid of the hell spawns.  Its now a huge waste of time because you dont kill as many and you dont get as many drops... so now all the newbies cant easily buy their 8x 9x 10x items because no one is going into those maps to farm.

True, AW quest or the AW map still needs a little bit modifications to become more useful.
