I had a lot of problems too, which is why i came across this.

I thought i would mess around with some settings and resetting my graphic settings to default Field of View and zoom levels etc. allowed me to take the first step off the ground. Before that I couldn't even move off the ground (old ePT player here who used to climb on everything too, so i know the techniques.) 

I would suggest trying to reset your field of view and camera zoom range to defaults, then try again, it definitely helped with me. I was trying for about 30 minutes (couldn't get off the ground), then read this, tried again for another 10, still nothing, then i reset those 2 things and was up in under 5 mins.

My climbing technique.
I place the cursor about there where the yellow line is.
I keep the mouse button pressed and keep sliding the cursor from side to side more or less the length of the yellow line depends on the character's movement.
Then it will go up in zigzag.
I move the quest balloon down so it doesn't get in the way.

OBS:
My character has speed 15.

the distance from the camera is at the maximum

And I position the view of the tower looking from the bottom to the top

 

There is a spot on the wall that the character goes through. So you'll need to climb through the middle of the wall

Thanks for the answer. I've tried what you said but reseting configs to default didn't make it work. Still can't even get off the ground. My monitor is 144hz, I even tried to change windows configs to 60hz to see if somehow that changed something, but still not working ?

This is more on technique. A veteran player can easily do this and those who try to find glitches in game to reach areas that appears to be inaccessible. 

 

For newbies/ new players to the game. Lets all be kind and try to be patient in teaching them how to climb.

No, not a bug. It's just that you haven't got a hang of the sweet-spot technique for climbing this particular one.
For those who know how to do it, it's very easy.

Best tip to get up there is get yourself a mount. Then it would be easier going up the wall just slide left to right to get to the top.

Climbing has always been the most important skill to explore Priston World to its fullest. You see things from a very different perspectives. 

 

Besides, if and when you have more than one characters, you'll likely need climbing skill to manage self-party.

so bumping this topic for everyone who struggle climbing.

 

Last night someone was shouting in trade chat for help with climbing so I went there to help.
The guy said Wartale must have changed some script because he could no longer climb despite previously able to.
One second later I was on the wall and said "NOPE. Still easy!" haha

Tried as he might, he still couldn't climb so I gave him my core and took him up there.

It's really is the technique.

Sell chars NAKED.

Buy chars NAKED.

Even quest, some need to take off their clothes to be able to do it.
