Crazy? ff course not!

The skill is so good, is only need to reduce the attack of the monsters, because at lvl 109 with priestess only stand up to md1.

The skill ani looks nice.. congrats on that

 

but its not much of a kill skill ..

 

it slow to kill , freeze time doesnt seem to work , dmg is to low i believe...

 

114 prs in md1 ... kills way slow...

 

the skill requires no target is nice... but should be like mage met...where ya can direct area ya want skill to hit!

 

having to be in center of spawn to maxize it use.. is gonna limit where prs can go to use it.. and not die in center of spawn .like a mage!!

 

in needs a boost i believe to be truelly usefull , in dmg , and ability to direct the skill.

at does lvl 8 is basiclly the skill time delay only...

I disagree, having to click a target is extremely painful, especially in a place like SoD where you one shot anything short of round 3-4. The skill has such a ridiculous area potential that I don't see the need to aim, if anything it would actually obscure the skill by offsetting the skill from the epicenter of the mobs, which will be around you whether you're aiming it or not. I do NOT want the no target to be taken off, I had enough frustrations with that during our usage of CL, it is nice to be able to dias like mages. We have CL if we need a directional skill that bad. Everything else we had was directional, I don't see why you would want to remove the uniqueness we have in doing it the easier way like dias. You may complain about tanking, but we're scheduled to get a T5 skill addressing that or a different fix of sorts, so I don't see how it will be an issue once that happens.

 

I know some mobs freeze, because I tested it in ft1 and SoD and all mobs there froze. Stone mobs or w/e is in MD1, seem to possess an ice immunity, so it does not appear the skill is bugged. If you remember the wanted moriff event, it had a lightning immunity that made it immortal to CL, sparks or any lightning element skill. I imagine the same is happening here in MD1 with ice meteorite.

 

The damage? I think it is rather quite nice [when you consider the idea some meteorites overlap], at least compared to the crap that was CL. I think it is sufficient as is, and that any changes to ice meteorite would only impede important development time from other classes or issues that need it far more than just making small tweaks to this.

Yes Ice meteorite is affected by Ice attribute of enemy.

 

I will probably make delay of meteors on all levels the same (no delay)

 

Also I will make it possible to target an enemy but also like it is now, so both abilities to attack.

Prs is being developed to tank though. Granted, that isn't worth much atm until they put in the skill that will allow us to tank in T5. Then prs will be balanced with only minor changes.

That won't be exclusive for the priestess though, so the only real difference between a priestess and another class would be that the priestess is guaranteed that bonus while others need a priestess nearby. And I still don't get the point of removing it from VL and then adding it as another skill instead.

Agreed, seems pointless to me and just time wasting

 

Unless if Wartale can't do what we want:

 

VL Hidden work on PvE, but not work on PvP

 

Let's wait this new Priest skill, and if it works at PvP, will only break everything again, since PvP ABS formula and overall Defense/ABS formula was increased due to VL fix.

 

But, congrats Wartale and all his staff, doing his best all the time ^-^

I think the point of the "aura" like chimera was to prevent PvP abuse, so prs would have to stand beyond the flags for the effects to work [and not just buff VL and make ppl immortal for 5 mins while sitting behind flags]. That way there aren't any "buff mules".

 

As link said, if the effects were just added into PvE only, it would accomplish the same thing. No idea how complicated that is though.

Then we will find a BC with only people near the flags, with _MUCH_ more backstabbing, since the aura will work on players even if the priest are on the safe zone

 

I can foresee... This will be funny and lame at same time: Everyone glued to their priests, and backstabbing all the time, hit'n'run and all that pike crap

Thanks Wartale! I love Ice Metior so much! but, i think it is useless. . cuz every time I'm making XP, I always be dead. know why? bec. of the changes of the vl u made >.<. . its no good to all. xp map now is to dangerous, only high lvl can tank(had good items). but others? no! too bad :(

For all the possible reasons it was removed in the first place, the only one still in effect when the new skill comes is the cast-and-run abuse. Changing the way it works is one thing, but it strikes me as exceedingly pointless going to this length to do something that could be accomplished by simply saying that VL would be changed to an aura effect, without the current fallout as a side effect. Things weren't perfect before, but it was stable, and I'd gladly have waited longer for more tier 5 skills if that was what was required. If the intention was to introduce some sort of balance for tier 5 of the priestess by making the other skills less obtainable (and it will, since unless the effect of this new skill is negligible, it will be mandatory), then I guess there's that too. Oh well, at least it will make the priestess attractive to parties again, with the added bonus of actually being able to do some damage.
