What is the strongest skill?

Recommended Posts

adrianferndes

Not necessarily for AoE, but for 1x1, against monsters.
Only checking the game guide made me feel a little doubtious about the veracity of the information there, because some skills may not be there correctly, such as the Solar Shot for Archer which doesn't exist in the game guide and there is Phoenix Blessing there instead.

Well, for considering the strongest skill in the game I have to say that it includes the number of hits the skill executes, such as Chain Lancer from PS which is only 70% but 3x, so it actually is 2.1 times the damage. (Not sure about the math the game does about calculating, don't know exactly what is the Atak Labeling name Damage Boost, I assume it works as literally 70% of the damage of a normal atak)
Just to make sure I made it clear, here's an example, Shadow Master goes for 7 hits of 85% each = 5.95x the normal damage (or 595%)
Following this logic, and your player experience, what skill do you believe it's the strongest including hits and %?

Strikes a single target with a barrage of five powerful blows.
Number of hits depends on the level.

Require Item: Scythe, Sword

Type: Active

Cool down: 15 seconds

Level Dmg Boost Hit Count Mp Usage Stm Usage Upgrade Fee

It only says that the interval is 0.1 and 160% with 3 seconds stun, how long does the skill last?

it's damage boost, not damage ratio.

Each CL hit will have +70% dmg over normal attacks, so 170% damage/hit.

it would be 7* 185% ~ 1295%

It's hard to tell which is the strongest skill only based on the damage %, each character has it's own base damage, damage formula, weapon base atk and buffs. For E.G, auto mech has 1,3k base damage w/out precision, but 3,5k with precision.

But, in my opinion, the strongest skill is Flame wave. Flame wave has no CD and 200% damage bonus, which results in 300% damage dealt by itself, mage also has elemental spirit, which further increases +74% damage so it turns to 374% damage. On top of that, Elemental enchant, gives +10% final damage, which, unlike all other damage modifiers, affects damage dealt after all buffs/dmg bonus, so, 374+10% => 411%.

On top of that ~400% damage, Flame wave hits 2 times per cast:

3_magician4_2.jpg Flame Wave

Releases a devastating wave of fire towards the enemy causing massive damage to all surroundings.
Flame Wave hits each enemy 2 times per cast.

So, it's 822% damage dealt.

But, it's not over yet, Flame wave also has burning 1 sec with 100% burning strength, which means that it will hit 100% damage of the original source, in other words, another 411% divided in multiple damage ticks, so, 1233% damage dealt / cast. 1 cast of flame wave would be close to 1 whole cast of shadow master if mage and pike had the same base damage.

Thanks for the info, that really clarified. Are Damage Boost and Damage Bonus the same?

Wow, lot of useful info right there.

BTW, Do you know how does this skill work?
It says 250% Damage Boost, fine, then there is the Poison Strength at 100% (not sure how this applies), it lasts for 8 seconds.
How does all of this come to calculations.

Its says damage boost, means 100% of your attack + 70% =170%

CL does 3 hits, 170%X 3= 510% total damage of your hit. ( but there are many factors to get high DPS  like  the weapon + pure build ( if possible ) / regular build  , crit , attack speed, animation speed of skill, how many pots you use, which force ( a hint  classes with low weapon damage usually have high % of damage boost / high attack speed , which makes a better force benefit them more, yet a bad one hurt them more ).

About the strongest skill- LS might be the strongest if you check it via :" Cast a skill 1 time ", but you have to stand still for 8 seconds , not doing any other DPS while casting it ( and ofc if you need to pot you have to let go sooner ). Also this skill has 24 secs CD, makes you use it max 33% of the time you deal damage. Also even during the LS time, KS ( It's owner ) still isnt the fastest killer, DPS wise.

If you want the ideal skill, DPS wise, for PVE its flame wave ( of mage ) , both AOE and 1v1.

Ideal PVE in overall- it depends on lvls and resources usually ( when you pilot 1 char or 2, what build , if its 1v1 or 1 vs many ) , also there is the importance of range, which a new wartale player might ignore ( At end game many parties require you to have the range of either a ranger/ magical char, so you can stand in the party range ) so its really hard to answer.

People ive never seen in SS and have been  at the Same level for years giving opinions on a skill being very strong this is strange,

I think they should fix some infinite buff bugs that some people are using in bc

It works with % of hp not with raw Atak Pwr, understood. Nice . I assume it works with the remaining hp right, instead of the full bar.

yes to get full damage you must cast this first, and it does not work if the mob is below 50% hp
