Flame Wave still reigns supreme

Even now with full Tier 5, Flame Wave is still unbeatable.

The only thing that can compete with it is Watornado, and only because it casts faster.

 

In sum, Magician clearly lacks DIVERSITY (not power) because everthing simply pales in comparison to Flame Wave.

 

So, my idea is to improve spell diversity without giving the mage more power:

 

1) Nerf Flame Wave a little bit by applying the burn damage over 5 seconds (instead of 1 second), allowing the damage to roll over a longer period of time. This way, casting only Flame Wave all the time would not be ideal, since the burn damage would not stack. So, mages would prefer to add other spells to the rotation in between Flame Wave casts (the way we do already with Watornado).

2) Bring Dance of Calamity to tier 4, then move Meteor to tier 5. Meteor should be the Magician's ultimate spell, the last one, the stronger one, the iconic one.

3) Boost the damage of Meteor by a lot (+50%?), but add a 12s cooldown. This way we'd have a reason to use it in between Flame Waves.

4) Dance of Calamity simply needs to be stronger than Flame Wave. Add more damage, make the animation quicker, or at least chain something from Dancing Sword (can perhaps inherit Dancing Sword's damage boost or something, like other classes chain abilities).

My post was about balance between the skills, not about overal mage power. You can't say using the same skill all the time is good balance. My post is about making OTHER skills useful. Eventually Flame Wave will get nerfed anyway, but I'd rather having smarter ways to give a use to Meteor at least. Instead of having to choose between Flame Wave and Metor,  just allow us to use both (by adding a cooldown to Meteor).

I think this is a valid rework, with some polish made by the @Wartale team, this can be a very healthy way to make magicians more fun to play, than just spam one skill until everything is dead.

Ass, Fs, Ps, Ata, SS, Prs, Ks, and even the newly created Bs have more urgent problems to be solved.

It seems that while everyone is playing Nerftale you are on a server where everything is cute and everyone is happy about the game.

Im like some ideas here... 

 

 

Maybe oone boost damage in flame wave forr 240 per cent is cool... but endeed Mage need more power in PVP and more capacity to tank well ... Im think butt the "buble" is the most brilliant idea ever here....

 

 

Maybe you know ... one buff in animation of DCL and boost he damage is cool too... 

 

 

Im think its good to improve MG now....  If you compare to MS/BS/AS/ASS he is very weak at moment .

 

 

Edit: im dont agreed for nerf Flame ,because flame is weak skill by the way... imagine FS can deal 32k+ on doble crash our pike can deal 33k+ on CL etc... AS can deal 72k+ in Bomb shot versus demons... for me FW is cool...

 

now,need improve only others mage skill's to have more options to use.

I dont think making a really old skill "new" is the way, when i got calamity i thought it would be really awesome and i would be a bad ass mage using that and kill a lot of monsters with it but i wasnt and i didnt. Tbh calamity should become the new dancing sword and they should create a new skill to replace it.

 

P.s.: this idea of rotation of skills and CDs and etc despite being an old conccept in games would bring a really cool and new look on how to play Wartale.
