INTERNET PROBLEM?

Guys I am not an expert at Internet/ modem stuff... tho I have called my provider 2x already and He keeps telling me to wait so the internet will link with their server or what hell always the following day but it never comes.

 

The point is last week Wednesday I have got my broadband installed at my place... by the Tech guy. Which ensure before leaving that everything was set properly.

Still On my modem I have the Internet light off .. not green not red.. just off. and in their manual it says that this is due internet not linked.

 

Is it normal that sometimes it can take some time so they can link the line? because my internet is via DSL line Cable... connected to the Phone Socket.

I am jus tired of waiting and waiting and no internet coming.

 

Anyone had any experience similar when having a broadband and taking awhile so they link u to the internet? or should i just recall guy monday mornign and send him **** off and to ask someone to come by my place?
