NEW UPDATE - BATTLE EXP CHANGES

Hello everyone,

I come here to discuss after the last update, I'll quote here the part about PVP BATTLE EXP SYSTEM here :

(Stop posting videos of people that are boosting because it won't help to find an issue about that problem)

 

Wartale Changelog Patch 5222:

  • Battle EXP changes:
    • Added rewards to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places per class
    • Changes to scoring system:
      • Day bonuses: earlier on in the scoring period (e.g. Monday) you gain more score than later on (e.g. Friday)
      • Score now decays faster if you're inactive in PvP
      • If you make too many kills in a short time interval it will reduce the score gained proportionally
      • Added a negative score cap of -250 for losers. This cap also reduces the score gained by the killer
      • Score lost by victim is 50% of the score gained by the killer instead of being the same
      • Removal of class based bonus/penalties and streak limits
  • Increased Neutrality Treaty base price at NPC to 250kk

First, I would like to say thanks to the staff to improve it because it was really needed. 

It's a good start but updating the formula is a minor improvment of the whole pvp system. 

 

The main problem was and still ... it's boosting from players by doing fake PVP & killing mules. 

I tried to check how  the new system works now to understand.

Tests done : PRS 154 & PRS 157 (Thanks Max for your help)

So with the new battle exp forumula, it's easier to boost but harder to be negative. 

How ?  

After you reach the cap of -250 battle exp you loose 0 exp on your char but the killer still get som exp (from 66 to 27 non stop, random exp). 

I didn't tried with mules because most of boosting are done by doing fake PVP & transfering exp from allies clans. 

 

About ideas, they are on the suggestions boards. 

 

I'm just here to make things better and share my own point of view. If we give a reward ingame it have to be given to fair players.

Easy. Boost = 3 Day bann from Bc means u will make ur clan weaker by not be able to help them in bc. Then lets see who will have balls to boost

+1 maybe some would say uff to hard but hey its a rule it shouldnt be breaked same other rules so ppl will think twice before they wanna risk it

there are always both sides, the one that makes the boost and the one that helps with mule accounts, they should check the ip and see who helped the mules and that person also takes punishment on the main account.

the impression that (staff) gives us is that not even the owner of the game plays his game.

it would be good for the game owner + Gm's/Staff members to play the wartale to understand how it is currently (PvP/PvE).

 

Changed some things in pvp exp, but will stay the same, both sides boosting, or they'll find a bug and exploit it. and create rules that are open to interpretation, we've already seen that it didn't work.

 

 

And the change in PvE/SS? It was bad for Meele's level up rn or before this patch... and now with crystal transforming against the players...game over for meele's.

I agree that boosters need to get a punishment. 
But how you prove that people are boosting when they are doing fake PVP? (This is the easy & most efficient way to get Battle Exp). 
—> It’s kinda impossible to prove it.

 

What’s more, battle pvp experience can be more challenging for some players but I think it only broke the fun with the Bless Clastle system. Why ? Because we all know BC it’s about numbers (This can change according to the players and the lvl etc...). That is to say, if you have more players on your side, you have more chance to “win”.

But 80% of the time (and every side), run to the city or disconnect because they are outnumbered.

—> So the other side can’t have fun, the outnumber side neither. 
(At the end, friends/allies pvp for fun, and it can be considered as boosting...)

 

What are the ideas

  1. When you go to BC, you will automatically be on a random team (the choice of the team is according to the lvl and numbers)Then you have to fight against the others teams. We are all here for the same purpose : having fun. Whoever we kills, we just want to distract ourselves.
  2. Remove the battle exp system till they add a new type of playing such as battle royal (A try worth it)

About PVE, It’s worst and it’s another case but I still don’t understand why they keep it this way and don’t put back pets and Xtals as it suppose to be. We made several posts, poll (90% voted yes), sent PM to the GM with clear arguments .... and no changes on it since many years. 
We have 1 map to have a decent exp, but can’t even use it alone. 

Ofc it’s their own game, but when things are unfair or when every players agree to put it (even if there’s no negative impact), they should try to answers us, or giving us arguments. 

 


Just a loyal player ?

The patch has only been released for few hours so let not give any conclusion to early without seeing the full result from it.

The booster will always try to boost so what we are trying to do is do is to make what they are doing become useless.

Although permanent blocking could be avoided with an account transition, the something would have to be done with those holes.

Maybe assassin and mech too, mech is forced to auto-mech to get decent xp, many others would play more power-mech in pve if it was more viable.

It's not so hard to prove, there are some natural behaviors during pvp that when u are in a fake 1x1 you wont do it, like take buffs/rebuffs, use hp pots, etc. Ofc it's not easy but staff can check and analyze if it's a boost. Also, they can check pms in game and see what they were saying. Even it's not perfect, it's still better than not have any rules.

The best option would be like Dinamitze said, an alliance system between clans where you wouldnt win or lose xp against your friends. 

About your ideas

1- Random team doesnt work in bc, that would just be no sense to have any clans in the game, ppl enjoy play with friends not in a random way. Although this idea would work in a Battle Royale (in bpt you have random teams in battle royale and works well).

2- battle royale is coming soon, already in home page, and shouldnt count xp there, should have different prizes/rankings.

1- El equipo aleatorio no funciona en bc , no tendría sentido tener clanes en el juego, las personas disfrutan de jugar con amigos, no de forma aleatoria. Aunque esta idea funcionaría en un Battle Royale (en bpt tienes equipos de Battle Royale y funciona bien).

2- Battle Royale llegará pronto, ya en la página de inicio, y no debería contar xp allí, debería tener diferentes premios / clasificaciones.

I would like to add to this, not receiving player experience 15-25 levels lower than yours.
