Question about costumes

sorry for noob question but why are there stats on the costumes if they dont add those stats when you equip them?

is it for only visual and only useful for low level characters so they level faster?

because when i equip the costume my stats dont go up.

would appreciate answer very confused since some ppl sell like +24 costumes and if they dont add stats

i dont understand why you would spend that much money to buy them

some costumes worth to use without a armor when you have a tanker, they only add stats when you are not using a armor in armor slot.

 

some rangers only use costumes +24 or mix that give +hp and some ppl use only costumes to level up more faster.

For instance, vampire costume or summer costume add 1 attack speed, so a lot of auto mech use them to maximize their damage per second. Of course, it comes with a sacrifice of defensive abilities, yet they all have tankers so it doesn't matter.
