Returning player [Duo help?]

Hey guys!

 

I used to play Wartale, left around 1 year ago. I was a 15x Assassin.

 

Myself and my brother have decided to started playing again, looking to spend most of our time duo'ing.

 

He is going to be playing a Mage, what is the best class to duo with a mage?

As it stands it dosent really matter unless you wanna keep grinding exp.

just need a extra account to tank for you.

 

Aka both go mage and have tanks ( or Auto ms/any ranger really)

Unless you wanna gain way less exp per session and spend more on items to be able to do SS decently

 

Else if you're looking at SoD I would say mage-mech if coins/gold is the thing you wanna grind out. 

since you wont need much to be able to kill.

and if your borther plays mech he more or less just gonna be tanking the stuff.

 

if from 0-15x mage x2 no question about it.

Party quest wise or Duo grind in exp maps

 

if just for enjoying the game play what you enjoy the most ?

Mage + Prs or Mage + MS

Priest would be probably the best option if you're willing to invest a lot on her[ enough to tank]

Mage + MS is also good for SOD, all mages that do this crazy scores is usin with a ms tanker.

I was originally going to try brawler but read that they cant tank at all. Started a Prs as thought could work well as a duo and the new thunderstorm sounds strong. But might make the switch to tank mech, but maybe let prs leach same time so we can use her at high level maps for buffs.

Pris can tank r8 full hp though, but you need top tier items. some players use their priest till R3, since she is a wild card on low level maps, and then change her status to full hp  while using mage r4- r8. With Ms, mage players will do slight better score, but priest is more consistent for farming.

Not to mention that priest is good to tank in shadow as well as Ms, while being also good for boss, HG. Both Ms and Priest are good on 1x1, but priest doesn't need a pure glass cannon build to work, so she can tank for mage while doing damage or she can VL mage so he can tank much more.

Priest main problem and only problem: expensive asf to work, not only her items are much more expensive, but, there's a clearly power curve that you need to reach with top level items, unlike MS that pretty much most of his defensive and offensive power are based on 2 strong skills [ metal armor and automation].

You can choose Knight + Prs, Mage + Mech, any ranged class + mech or prs as tankers.

 

My current setup is hybrid mech (tanker skills with power stats) and prs as DPS. I must remind you that I play solo, and this setup is not very welcoming in the current party meta.

I've seen Assassin actually got a buff? Not playe what I was hoping for after that hench post I placed but I guess improvement to class balance is still improvement at the end of the day!

When I left it was dominated by AS, Ata, KS and PS.

Knight would go well with Mage too, imo. Maybe even a Shaman? idk. Just play with any class you want to. lol
