Should I be mixing this sword or should I be aging this sword until I can get Lv142 sword?

Aging it.

 

You can buy a +24 one for around 1500-200c   or a DNT one for 2500c. 

 

The cost of the age stones, gold and sheltoms will cost more that the above so its better to just buy it.

If you play PVE only, you don't need to invest in 122 sword, just sap vigor is okay..

 

142 sword is always good, but priority for PVE is sword 138 +24

If you play PVP it's good!

But if you only PVE then it's not needed these days, even when it's so cheap!

 

Sap vigor has same power as age +17 , you don't use 1h sword 1v1 pve, only 1v2 1v3 1v4 so you use brandish + sword lightning, which means atk rate + crit is not used at all.
