Question about AS exclusive mount

Hi, 

 

I understood that we can only activate the new mount if we play as archer, I'd like to know if, in case we change class, we'll be able to still use the mount, as an FS for exemple.

@Overlady if this is happenning i believe the mount should be "inactive" till the player changes class for AS again. Otherwise exclusive mount class is no-sense.

I mean you pay 4kc for a mount and then you would pay 7.5kc for change class .. its not how you guys make it seem like any char can go buy it.

If you change your class, the mount will still remain active in your stable. 

Although it wasn't feasible at the start of the development process, this was the best option for how the other mount colors would interact with the character-bound crystals and the new method to obtain them (not related to Coin Shop crystal).

 

We are willing to reconsider banning the use of the mount in other classes if the community deems this to be a huge problem.
However, I believe banning the mount is more unfair and problematic overall.

This is no sense, if this supposed to be "exclusive" mounts for each class only the respective class should be able to use it.

Otherwise is just another line of new mounts for everyone.

I think the beauty of an exclusive mount is that your class is the ONLY class using it. I think seeing a super cool mount attached to only specific classes would add a super interesting dynamic to the game. Specially for those that play less popular classes, such as Assassins, Shaman, etc.

The solution is easy, when changing classes, the mount changed together, for example... common Archer mount for common Pikeman mount... since there are 3 equal types for each character.

another simpler solution: Class Mount alert : Do you want to switch classes? if yes, get your money back for the mount you bought.

The 2 year promise (yes 2 years practically) was an exclusive mount for each class. In addition to creating an expectation that was shaken by being placed in the coinshop (and for its value) nothing fairer for the idea is to be able to use it only for the class it represents.

 

That is: If I am an AS and become an MGS, the mount will remain there, but I can only use it if I am an AS.

 

Unlike the BS event mount that was given as a reward, the "exclusive mounts for each class" is something like the name itself says, exclusive.

 

 

I'll take advantage of the post (again) and ask, @Overlady what about the patch note?

We never promised it, the value of all other mounts would be destroyed if you had a legendary mount that everyone else also owned.

 

The only value we can assign to mounts is prestige, and this will continue to be in the other colors that will not be obtained easily (similar what we did with Hestian). It is important to keep in mind that mount value is mostly cosmetic/prestige, not status.

Brawler Mount is also usable by other classes, and both follows the same design, except that we sent the mount directly to the stable but it has the color design of Brawler.

Sorry, I'm not responsible for Patch Notes, but it will certainly be out when the server is considered almost bug free from the patch before the hotfixes.

any chance of getting a mount for beginners, quest reward, something with less speed but better than running speed 10- on low level chars?

I know you didn't promise anything for free, but it would be nice, I think most of the sever don't have 4kc left to buy 1 more mount. :(

@Overlady I have a solution for this. Add a Class Bonus to the exclusive mounts. Hence a Mage with an AS exclusive mount will not be able to take advantage of the exclusive mount class.

 

Bonus speed for AS Spec. or a penalty of -50% in speed if other than the specific class of that particular mount.

It doesn't seem like a very coherent idea, then we would have a mount in Coin Shop that would have bonuses that others in the game would not. Everyone would have to use the mount of their class and the other mounts released in the future would also be unusable?

My vote is to lock them only for the designed class :D. I'm happy that you guys are at least considering what the player base is saying here. Let's see what other people think :). On a lighter note.... the AS mount is beautiful... I cannot wait to see the rest.

+1,  as a Quest teaching how to capture mounts, It would be great since it would also serve as a tutorial for new players.

 

I personally don't mind the price nor changing class to use different mounts, since it's entirely cosmetic, but I like the idea of having a especial effect when you're using the correct class. wolverine more speed, knight's lion more dismount res..?

the exclusivity could be an animation detail, an extra shine, for using it in the right class.

 

something to encourage using in the right class, but not interfere with gameplay
