Omega 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 Hmmm I suprised that link doesn't mention tank mech, I always thought there were 4 mech builds, auto power tank and spark. My mechs 92 and painfull slow to lvl right now, I went tank mech, think I'll reset to spark for a while.
hide 1 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 tank mech and spark mech pretty much same build. SPark shield->-SPark>MA. that is all you need!

Idk if they made babel harder or what but my prs killed him fast.
Crius 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 What different skills? You can have all the defensive skills (if you pick either Extreme Shield or Spark Shield) and Spark at max level at the same time by the time you hit 96. The only real difference I can think of is how many points you put into spirit and how many into health, but you can compensate for low spirit with mana potions if you need to. Omega 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 well difference is instead of spark and spark sheild is extreme shield and MWM then grand smash, which makes u a bit more power 1v1. From post above, Spark: Physical Absorption = 10 Metal Armor = 10 (Metal Armor gains 200% of Physical Absorption's current Absorption) Spark = 10 (The main skill of leveling of a Mechanic) Spark Shield = 10 Compulsion = 10 Impulsion = 10 (excellent in SoD) From gogg in this post http://www.realmpt.net/forum/index.php?topic=50508.0 Extreme Shield Physical Absorption Metal Armor Grand Smash Mechanic Weapon Mastery Compulsion
Gogg 3 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 Spark mechs use all meele skills now. It's not about being almost the same of the tanker... nor the power. Since Impulsion got it's damage based on the chars damage spark mechs need MWM and Max to boost up their damage. They'll also run for more str, same reason~ Before it was pretty much different. They'd use PA+MA and Comp like tankers, but Spark and SS, while tankers run for ES, MWM and GS. And while spark chose between spr or health to boost up tankers go for str instead of spr. Crius 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 Guess we need a word for Impulsion-focused mechs. I still see "spark mech" as a Spark-user, not Impulsion. For Spark alone, I see no reason to wander far from a tank build since your offensive power is pretty much locked with Spark. The scenarios where I've used Spark, I don't really need ES to survive anyway. For Impulsion builds, I have two ideas I'd like to try at some point. Compulsion/Impulsion at 10 and a mix of strength for damage/HP/absorb, spirit for MP/absorb/equipment, and possibly health for some extra HP if needed, then: 1) PA/MA/MWM at 10, two-handed weapon. Sacrifice a shield and rely on good-enough defense from the PA/MA combo, though lower than a focused tank build. 2) Maximize/MWM/ES at 10, one-handed weapon. Skip PA/MA and rely on ES for tanking. With Maximize, trading a two-hander for one and a shield might be enough for a damage boost while not losing all tanking ability. Gonna have to check the damage formula and figure out how ES works first though.

It's like saying power mech and tanker mech are almost the same as they use the same two buffs. They're even closer to each other, as they share the same point over stats, what doesn't happen between spark and tank builds.
