@Overlady

Can an already made +15 pentagonal gem be changed to another +15 pentagonal of another type? or only the fragments can be changed?

I'm playe off the game these days, but, from what they post, you can only covert shards, so 3 green shards into purple, yellow, blue or red.

Look like crafted gems are of the convertion

Why not take advantage of the Dynamite system or item dismantling to destroy finished gems as well?
In this case, when you explode a jewel, you could recover a % of Shards to reuse in new crafts recipes.
It seems to be playe reasonable.

We considered doing this, but since gems can no longer be extracted from items, it doesn't make much sense ?.

True, it doesn't make much sense as now gems are lost when removing them.

However, the option exists even if little used, it can still be viable.

An example: a person is building a topaz jewel for archer or atalanta, and in the meantime he decides to change classes and I still haven't inserted the gem into the item, he can start making another jewel and use the fragments destroyed with dynamyte, so In a way this would help reduce the demand for shards she needs to find, it would be a little used option but it could still be useful.

imo its a too specific situation wouldnt worth the dev time.

Also its good to keep the demand of mining shards so miners still have a job

Yes, looking at it that way, you are right, it helps to value mineer jobs, but I think the demand for shards is too high for the entire server, so this is restricted only to those who have a lot to invest.  Exploding gems that are already ready would be a little used alternative and I believe that this will not affect the use of mineers because we will still need shards to compose a new gem.

can we just make efrium appear more often or not make it a must for every single craft?  so hard to find.  so hard to mine.  so dang expensive to buy.

Yes, but your gem will be destroyed.
