Uppruni Boss Battle

Hi

 

What do you think about the new boss? In my opinion...

 

The Good

 

  • Amazing atmosphere, pro nostalgia when the sky color change, Babel feelings, Wartale scores high when new things reminds classic moments of the game.
  • No need a key (ye I'm considering it as a good point nowadays).
  • 6 items/roll.

 

The bad

 

  • Centlon is way challenger than Uppruni, the new boss battle looks like Mino's fight at Hells Gate.
  • He dies fast, so it's hard to get a roll.
  • Boss time, 1 boss every 2 days? Random time? It lacks of explanation.

I thought there was a light missing, I don't know, example... The part where he starts switching places, something's missing there... A stun along with continuous damage, I don't know...

exactly 1.5day per boss. I think 1 boss per day is fine.

naive you huh? there were more than 100 people in the boss... when you have 20-30 you will see how easy it is...

there were more than 100 people killing the boss of course he would die quickly.. now when he has 20-30... it will be sad.

With this current boss time, spawning 07:00 AM in Brazil, it will be a true challenge to the server

Hey There, it is not random but dynamic based in the previous spawn time.

 

Ps. Uppruni is on "easy mode" for a while, the skill chance is set to low, like we did with Centlon some time ago ?

Too easy to be honest, even if its on easy mode. as an archer i didnt even get hit 1 time. ?

This mechanic is so great, I loved the idea of clone boss that need to be dead in order to kill the main boss.

The idea of teleporting also great, I would increase the number of teleportation the boss does as it make it more enjoyable and need to run around.

 

Boss hour is kinda weird i wasnt manage to go 2 out of 3 times for now. but lets see.(either late at night or when work hours)

every 35 hrs I suppose.

so, if we assume that 1 unstable core will drop every week [which is kinda unlikely], it'll take 4 months just for the first uppruni gauntlet, and 3 years just for the top 10 to have it?

Yeah, if the skill chance is low, and teleport is one of the skills so it will teleport less.

 

We have players from multiple time zones and with the dynamic spawn time, everyone will have the opportunity to kill the boss, but it may eventually spawn at an inconvenient time for some players, like today.

Additionally, we are experimenting with a new boss item crafting system that splits the boss item into pieces, which gives players more incentive to confront the boss because they have a *25 higher chance of acquiring the material compared to the whole item.

but still need 24, my guess it will be between 8-14kc for each shard.

so between 192 - 336kc for the gauntlets.

It is not like relic drop that is just one per boss, you can get more than one unstable core per boss. We are testing the dynamic spawn time atm, if we keep with this design, we will have a something extra added to it after the hard mode.

Are boss materials (unstable core) not acquired by roll? but random drops, like old T1 quest Honey from beedog?

 

If roll is the main source to get these materials, even dropping more than one per boss we're literally ****ed.

Im 100% sure its roll... 

but if it can drop more than 1 and it drop like 2-3 a week that can be good

Yes, it is by roll.

 

I will make an example, and you can give me feedback of what would rather:

1. Go to every boss for 1 month and drop a Glove.

2. Go to every boss for 1 month and drop 24 materials.

 

The chance to each individual player to get a material is way higher than getting the item itself.

I see

I really like the craft idea, it's far superior to how centlon brac is atm, but if the unstable core rate is really low, it'll be the same as nothing, unachievable for the majority of the community.

We don't drop centlon bracelet once a month.... maybe one in 3 months?

So if we look at this chances that means that we will get 24 shards each 3 months like centlon, it will be harder for players to aquire the gauntlents.

I think the crafting idea is great and somehow refreshing feature for the boss item, and we just have it first time so we really need time to see it through

It is the way how RNG works, you can get one Centlon bracelet each 3 months or you can get two in one month, but since the chance to obtain an Unstable Ether is higher, it turns out to be more "consistent" with less drop gap.

Yep I know how RNG works ? but the average time for it its once in 3 months now.

you are being optimistic, centlon brac sometimes take 7 months to come.

I prefer the new way, but will depend on drop rate to see if the gaunt will be accessible for the community or just a new centlon.

I think what he meant is that not only 1 player will go after that unstable core, so even if it has 24 cores in server, they'll be split in many players, so even if 24 unstable cores = 1 centlon brac in drop rate, it'll take far longer to get it.

so, it might be worse than just 1 gauntlet every 4 months, but 1 every year for whales only.

Yep, I heard that last time it took around 7 months, but the average is 3 months if you include centlon time arriving to game and how many brace we have... its still very hard to acquire tho.

It will be the same thing as relic system.

 

First year, whales buying everything, absurd prices, feelings of Pay2Win. Dropping 2 materials every boss means 2 weeks with the best of luck and richness, still better than Centlon Bracelets. Gonna take years to make it accessible for casual players. I'm down with the option 2. Go to every boss for 1 month and drop try to drop materials, even knowing the drop chance gonna be low.

 

A thing that could make it more accessible and I see in a lot of MMO's is rare items bound/unbound to char.
