[Discussion] Who tested new Death Ray & Diastrophism PVE?

Recommended Posts

LBirman

Now that Stone Spike is long cooldown higher damage, it became a "rotation-spell" and the spam circle spell is now Diastrophism (old school style, YEAH!).

I wanna know if someone tested the new Diastrophism buff where "The average damage output of Stone Spike has been shifted to Diastrophism".

If the change actually matches the old Stone Spike damage, it means we no longer have to move when we spam the spell because it is ALWAYS in range of maximum hits (2 hits).

And that means that the new best spam spell is Diastrophism where Flame Wave is situational against monsters who are weak to fire damage.

Regarding the Death Ray buffs, I wanna know if someone tested 1v1 damage, I think this new damage might be better 1v1 spell than Flame Wave or Diastrophism.

But maybe I am wrong and it's only good for pvp..

We can give up on skill points in Dancing Sword & Mental Mastery and max out Dia + Death Ray in case they are actually good now.

What do you guys think?

stone spike old Damage at 5# hits was ~1,358% and  ~1,086% for 4#

Stone spike atm is 1,210% at 4# hits  and 1512% at 5#.

Dias is currently at ~827%

Flame wave is currently at ~1,029% (686% base +343% burning)

Meteorite is at ~1867%

Wartornado is at 1,034%

Death ray is at 470% but can crit up to 800% and it's faster.

DoC is at 1250% total, but has crit rate and be buffed by wartornado (~1600% average).

if I had to guess , close ranged mage with fire dancing sword + meteorite + wartornado + stone spike + DoC + Dias or Death ray to fill the rotation is the best 1x1 DPS.

Flame wave +meteorite + tornado is the most consistent for range AoE DPS.

death ray + fire dancing sword + meteorite + tornado should be the best ranged 1x1 DPS.

dias + stone + meteorite should be the best for close ranged aoe dps.

note that DR and DoC can miss, so, against bosses, I would probably go full aoe.

Thanks for your answer!

Can you please explain the high percentage numbers?

Is it per second? or per cast?

It feels like a full rotation has too many animations and might actually not be that efficient, feels like we should give up on Watornado if there is no reliable Lightning damage in your party.

/cast

tornado is playe fast, faster cast than dias or flame wave, so it's a dps increase.

Remember that DR and DOC can be boosted by Divine Force if you have a priestess in your party while the AoE skills dont.

Best,
