jordanx 70 Report post Posted October 13, 2023 (edited) HI, Just want to know how much do these elemental resistance play a factor in the game. And if there are any formulas to calculate what they do etc. For example. If my armor ranges from 14 to 17 frost resistance . How much more resistance do i get from 14 compared to a 17. Thanks Edited October 13, 2023 by jordanx
Overlady 5,233 Report post Posted October 13, 2023 (edited) Quote How much more resistance do i get from 14 compared to a 17. You gain 3% more resistance that works as damage reduction (such as energy shield). You can read more about it here: Elements - Game Guides - Wartale Best, Overlady Edited October 13, 2023 by Overlady 3
jordanx 70 Report post Posted October 13, 2023 so every 10 points in resistance, I lose 1 point in the opposing element. Based on your guide and referring to the case above, lets say I have 14 frost resistance on the armor. that means I lose 1.4 point in fire resistance. So 14 frost resistance compared to 17 is a 3% difference. So I'm gonna assume, in simpler terms to understand. 14 = 14% frost resistance on the armor. I guess that makes more sense. So in context.. if you have an armor lets say for example: lets say a lvl 132 stygian armor. Absorb ranging from 42.9-43.8 = a difference ranging of .9 absorb. and elemental resistance from 14-17% Id say.. if you 3% dmg reduction of a certain element.. it is way more superior than a .9 absorb difference. How much dmg does "1 absorb" reduce anyway? it seems so redundant that this point. Thanks, Jordan

Thanks, Jordan Yes, but the absorb value will directly subtract the damage, while the elemental resistance will reduce the damage taken dynamically by a certain %. Absorb will work in both elemental and neutral attacks, while elemental resistance will only work on the specific element. Quote Attack Power : Represents the direct damage that the character is able to deal, varying between the minimum and maximum damage. Attack Rating : Represents the chance to hit enemies when using single target skills. Attack Speed : Represents the attack execution speed. Critical : Represents the chance to deal a critical hit. All characters have a base critical chance of 5%, which cannot be higher than 75%. Critical Damage : Boosts your damage when a critical attack is performed. All characters have a base critical damage of 70%. Damage Boost : Increases your attack power by a percentage. Final Damage Boost : Increases your final damage after every other modifier has been calculated. Penetration : Ignores the target's block by directly subtracting the block value. Precision : Ignores the target's evasion, exponentially reducing all evade sources individually. Defense : Increases the chance of defending against an attack and is subtracted from the target's attack rating. Every 100 points in defense increase 1 point in Absorb. Absorb : Reduces the amount of damage taken by subtracting the target's attack power. Damage Reduction : Reduces damage taken by a percentage before the absorb. Hit Reduction : Reduces damage taken by a percentage after the absorb. Block : Represents the chance to completely ignore incoming single target damage. Block cannot be higher than 70%. Evade : Represents the chance to completely ignore incoming damage. Evade does not stack and works individually for each source of evade. Critical Resistance : Reduces the chance of receiving a critical hit by subtracting the target's critical chance. Extra Weight : Increases the weight limit your character can carry. Magic Aptitude : Increases skill training speed. HP Regen : Regenerates your HP every second. MP Regen : Regenerates your MP every second. SP Regen : Regenerates your SP every second while not performing an action. Absolute SP Regen : Regenerates your SP every second. HP Potion Efficiency : Boosts recovery value when using HP potions. MP Potion Efficiency : Boosts recovery value when using MP potions. SP Potion Efficiency : Boosts recovery value when using SP potions. MP Reduction : Exponentially reduces the MP consumption of skills. SP Reduction : Exponentially reduces the MP consumption of skills. Freezing : Decreases the target's movement and attack speed. Burning : Deals continuous fire damage every 0.5 seconds. Poisoning : Deals continuous poison damage every 1 second. Organic Resistance : Reduces stun and debuff duration. Fire Resistance : Reduces damage taken from Fire attacks and burning duration. Every 10 points in Fire Resistance reduce 1 point in Frost Resistance. Frost Resistance : Reduces damage taken from Frost attacks and freeze duration. Every 10 points in Frost Resistance reduce 1 point in Fire Resistance.
