The Development of the Server

I just want to hear how your opinions are on the server development.

Personally, I dislike the direction things are going.

I don't like the recent updates and it is no secret

 

When i started to play here. I only started to play for one thing and that was Wartales return and then the 5 Tier project. But I was gripped by the game again, like I was in the old days at ePT.

 

But this server reminds me more and more of uPT and other craps servers.

Where all the elements are taken away from the game and new unbalanced things gets added to the game.

 

Quest shops are added? why not just remove the quest itself, I personal just don't get it, why take such a centrally element out? I think it destroys the game, remove a rank up quest!? 

 

Armor/costume shops are added? same thing, now all the low lvled armors are useless. The Thales armors can be used from lvl 0? what is going, a lvl 0 can run around with an armor similar to the 90 lvl armor? 350 defense and 10 abs! that's crazy. that's was i call balanced! giggles

 

and it's the same thing with the soccer shirt  :-\

 

Assessment of severity from lvl 0 to 100!? an assessment is not lacked. It's way to easy just look on the things i mentioned above, you actually just get boosted the whole way.

 

Wartale also said that the skill points and elite points block will be removed. This is the way to balance the game.

Now it's only about selecting the right stat points.

Taking away the opportunity to create a special build is gone now..almost.

I liked the way it was. You had to think about how you spend your stat and skill points.

One element more is taking away from the game 

 

When I came to this server, i had the feeling of good old ePT days but it's completely gone now.

I hoped and believed that this server would build upon ePT, and add new elements to the game instead of removing them, and taking away the fun from the game.

 

As i said in the start this server reminds me more and more of uPT and other craps servers.

I think it's to see what direction things is going, sooner or later this server will look like all the other privat servers, where everything is unbalanced and "overheated".

 

I hope there will come changes in the near future, to balance the game, before it looks like all the other privat server there are in swarm.

the server will be like any other server....i cant see any balance in the future and I started playing on the server just because of the promise of balancing (specially for magicians) and t5 ...I think many other people started for the same reasons

Here's what I think about this...

 

About quest bullshit... some people come from normal game servers like ePT and bPT and already have/had 9x/10x chars that they grinded hardcore to get and already went through all of the quests... probably more than once... doing or not doing the quests doesn't bother me personally, but if you have to do quests, people will complain... if you don't have to, seems people will complain as well. Maybe sandurr should make quests mandatory, so it adds to the game experience and people can't go from 1-100 in like... 2 days.

 

About gear bullshit... maybe alter the drops then... make it really hard for people to get the elite drops and slow down how fast some of these upper lvls can get fully decked out in current gears... maybe they should actually have to work for it.

 

About lvling... maybe slow it down... if somebody gets help lvling... it's pretty much a wrap cause their char is on prob 24 hrs grinding, grinding, grinding... so maybe if you lower the xp, even with help it will actually be a challenge to get to 107+... plus this trading/selling chars crap... mad gay =P

 

About character balancing... give it time. IMO, each character is supposed to have strengths and WEAKNESSES, but everybody thinks their chars should be able to do EVERYTHING. I'm sure that sandurr will work on that... but he's also working on a MILLION different things! Gotta work out bugs, gotta work out enhancements, gotta work out tier 5, gotta balance chars and try to make everybody happy....

 

I'm sure that the server will be much better than the rest, but you don't get it all 100% right on the first try... it takes time ya know!

Hm I also have to say, I dont play that much since some time.

Well the server is good, better balanced as upt and other servers, stable with many updates.

Even when most ppl dont like to see that prs r not useless, many r also asking for something like old ept.

 

When I think back to old ept days when tier2 for morion was released prs and mage were one of the best aoe's.

Also with tier4 they were very good masskillers, they also had some good 1vs1 at this levels.

That prs and mage were totally crap classes for some years in old rpt/upt doesnt mean they r supposed to be crap.

PT is hack&slay, a pure supportclass with only 1 good support skill doesnt work. Pots have no cooldown and fill hp bar immediately.

And supportskills r not only for prs available, other classes supportskills r just not so strong like vl.

So maybe we need vl back to 24% as it was in ept, lowering the cl static dmg and improve the wand bonus abit.

 

About the point that huntmaps = xpmaps and masskillable.

I remember the old ept time when we were xping in dun3 and it was also a great huntmap at the same time. U were able to find highest drops there.

The 1st dun3 version with the huge ent spawn not that 2nd version were few mages throne and 1-2 lure slaves running around.

Even before tier2 for morion was released we xped in d4 and it was hunting in the same time.

 

About the questitem npc, idc.. the tier2 quests were only annoying so I dont miss them...

I have to agree about the armor/shirt npc.

The sp/ep stop was also good, pt wasnt made for so high lvls. Maybe few points with some quests to get a 2nd t4 skill at some usefull lvl.

Prices for items went really to fast down. 103 items r almost nothing worth.

 

But the real funkillers r other things that made me to play only sometimes now.

Like all the crap acc trading since few weeks. Dont play some days and u have no clue about the ppl on chars.

And the acc sharing is the same, u cant trust anyone ingame, u never know who is playing a char atm.

A contest means competition, not who has enough xp slaves to stay almost 24/7 online and none of the xpers has to hardcore + getting extra reward for that easy way. The race to lvl 100 was really fun.

well, im just gonna point this out, the newbie help stuff is needed.  (EX. thales armors, quest shops, etc.)  Like valtsu said there's not enough 10x to buy the 103 armors and other gear messing up the economy.  There has to be some way of ppl catching up to the people who started when the server came online, or the super xpers.  It sux when u start a game, and there's no group around your level to make friends out of.  At least with the noobie help stuff, they can get close enough to the 11x's to party with them and do some stuff and make a small impact in siege wars or sod.  Maybe they joined because they have a friend thats alrdy 11x. 

 

@prs vs non-aoe killers, i think it could be solved by having pure hunt and training maps, but make sure the training maps have about the same drop rating as the hunting map in the long run. (ex. % drop of 106 armor is .1% in training map, but 1% in hunt map)  That way since u can kill a bunch of mobs in the xp map per 1 in the hunt map, the drops will even  out.

it is my decision to share or not and you have the same opportunity.

 

I decided to share with 2 others, because none of us has the time to xp on our alone(high lvl).

so we chose to take advantage of each other, so we could win the contest and be the highest char ingame.

 

And the thing with extra prizes, i don't know where you got it from? Wartale decided to give us robe and staff, because he thought we deserved it, so of course we took the extra prize.

 

if you got offered an extra prize, you would also take it without any doubts.

I really think that you cant complain about people who share.

Those who share are taking a risk that one of the shares isn't a nice guy/girl and might steal everything that the so called 'owner' has.. So , it's a fair risk.

If you want to lvl up fast , play as much as u can.. but dont complain about shares... Not everyone has enought time to play this game 10hr/day like a lot of ppl and they still want to be on top , so.. I dont really give a shit about it.

well , its not forbidden and about fairness? I think it's fine since youve got the option to share too. if your choosing not to it's your own decision  and yea sory for having a social life, if i could stay 24/7 infront of my screen i wouldnt share trust me it has nothing to do with being ' lazy'
