Question about SOD

So I just tried SOD for the first time tonight. 

If I die or can't advance to next round..

I don't get any reward? No gold etc?

Yes , you need to finish round 8 to get reward. If you lose after round 3, you can get reward from your score with high tax as well as if you lose after round 6.

Well, that's lame as hell. 

I can see why the high level players camping S.O.D is broken as hell.

Free money only for them,  what a broken system.

 

No new players will play this game, that's for sure,

I am definitely on and off. I'm on paternity leave that's why I have some time to kill. But you prob seen from sonme of my posts.. I'm one of those players who played EPT back then.. so its nostalgia for me. Other than that.. there is nothing great about this game.

 

Once I'm back to work. I can care less about this broken game.

I'm only just gonna focus on item/weapon skins, look cool in the game and log in for hells gate and bee cave if I have time.

 

The fact that this is not addressed for so long,  makes the game so broken. 

Literally speaking, doesn't matter if you flip it upside down, side ways or reverse. ONLY the high level players can benefit from this infinite gold abuse from SOD. 

They farm gold much more efficient than any of the other methods in this game. and the sad part is, only the high level can do that.

The fact the game mechanics has not changed.... or the SOD hasn't seen a revision since it came is on the developers/admins.

There are no level brackets for SOD or anything to make it more fair and ALL of these were suggested before. This is not new to us.

So there are 16x-17x players with +24 items fully loaded.. competing with 12-13x  in the SAME SOD tournament?  That's ridiculous.

 

How do you EVER get new players to even attempt to play this game?

Infinite gold or not, the players still have to spend 16+ minutes each SOD run. The high levels earned their rights to dominate the SOD space by heavily investing their time to this game. Something that you said you don't do.

i understand you 100%, am also EPT player.

 

only reason i still log on is just because i spent so many years playing the game.

 

but lately Staff giving hand to abusers and doesn't listen to it is loyal users who playing here more than 10 years.

 

i know it is business first of all, but loyal players here for long run, abusers come and go.

 

because of these abusers, we the loyal players paying to donate to get coins, because abusers blocking us to do simple things as SOD (am 160 FS) and i can't compit again'ts them.

I understand. Hence I wouldn't really invest crazy amount of time into this game.

Nor will I invest any real money in to this game.

As the name suggests, it is: "Survive or Die " You can't win the reward if u die. if u survive and get kicked- you can still win the gold you made so far ( Kicks happen in round 3 and round 6).

SOD isn't a free money. Players have to waste 17 mins inside it+ the time between each ending to beginning. It's 20 mins. And the disadvantage of SOD is that they only farm gold. The EXP there is nothing to even 15x players.

Advantages and disadvantages of FS bro.

 

 

 

High lvl PRS+PS dominate the sod at R3 completely. a 14x PRS/PS can kick you a 16x FS, or me , a 16x KS without any actual effort or skillful game-play.

( KS is actually the worst at R3, due to LS requires him to stand still, and he can't move with his high DPS skill. Im ok with it though, advantages and disadvantages ).

 

And till R6, still PS/PRS still have the edge. Then SS is a close 3rd in R6 ( Any of those classes with decent game-play could really stomp anyone else at R6. Yet the gap is smaller).

 

And as you can see. R8 goes to BS, KS, PRS, SS. PRS, MGS.

PRS is literally the only class that does so well through SOD, and that's the reason every SOD hunter uses it.

Not saying she should be nerfed, she has other areas she's not good at.

What I wanna say: SOD R3 could use a rework. SOD balance is part of PvE balance, yet R3 completely ruins the chances of melees. Could rework that round, and remove those annoying mobs who can't move, and place mobs who can walk at least.

 

Also could examine letting players continue till R6, and do a 1 kick per SOD. Till R6 players can still win a decent amount of money, so I guess less will complain.

Yet to a 3rd place+ 4th place give a punishment: -10% gold and -15% gold of the total reward accordingly as punishment when clearing the reward ( Can examine the actual amount of punishment).

 

Then can examine 2 kicks at R6:

kick number 1: as is, 3 rooms are being cleared.

kick number 2: 2 rooms are being cleared. Letting 2 rooms to compete till R8, and the winner gets to open a chest. The room who got to the 2nd place in R6 gets a punishment of -10% gold of his reward ( Can examine the actual punishment).

What was all the info about other char ablities for ?

 

- SOD is corrupted, that's it.

- no one going SOD for XP, 15x PRS can mine in one month for a 16x Char.

- i am againt's changing any char abilities just for SOD balance - it is not fair, SOD needs rework that's it.

Any 15x prs  can do 30kk-40kk  gold r6/r8 

Pro prs can do over 70kk gold r8 .

The previous poster is complaining how the player needs to spend 17mins. to make up to or OVER, 70kk . 

  Imagine the people without SOD.. and the fact its so broken that only the high level can really abuse it.

anyway.. we can see why they do not want it to be balanced or revised in anyway.. because if i can make 70kk in 15mins. who the hell wants to moon hunt?

Not exactly. To figure out how much gold per SOD run. All you have to do is take the score and multiply it by 0.7

Most SOLO prs are averaging around 32kk-46kk scores depending on equipment. The "top" prs has a score of 77kk which will make her roughly 54kk.

any daily quests, you have to wait 24hours to do the eternal punishment one which gives you 4kk.  

imagine you have party of 6, you make 24kk per day. 

 

as for SOD you are talking about average 50kk in 15mins. so like dude. just stfu. please.

He's pretty much telling you to, buy a 17x char. Buy all +24 gears. And then maybe you just might be able to compete in SOD. 😆

You’re kind of stupid aren’t you? Where did I say to go buy a 17x char? You asked about the score/gold per round and I broke it down for you dumb dumb. A 14x PRS can easily make 15-20kk per run. Do this, upgrade your items slowly and your score will keep getting better.  Getting to 14x ain’t hard. There are times when SOD is dead where the top “abusers” aren’t there.

Just for the sake of the argue I would like to add two little things (all are based in my opinion, not stated facts):
 

1) most high level players just do SOD for the score/crown and that's it. I'm the top priestess at the moment and I just did 3-4 rounds to get my score and left for the month. Gonna try again when reset (1 time per month).

 

2) I think that nowadays there is too few ways to get gold in the game. SOD (imo) is a really good one. If we take it off I think the gold bar would be 1:1 with the kc. When making gold was easier I remember seeing ppl selling GB's only for 400c (not too long ago)

 

 

YET I think that SOD could be different. I don't think that SW crown should work there, R3 should be easier to melee classes and I think that ppl trying to only get the score/crown don't have to wait for a regular SOD with everyone. I don't wanna the gold, for example, just the competition to get the crown. For this porpouse I think SOD could be like any other instance/DG, so you can just go there anytime and do your points without disturb xD (leaving without the gold ofc)
