Hello everybody.

I've created a Mech 1 week ago.

From what i saw mech are having the must high abs on game, atleast what is written down on the papers.

Well,it doesn't seems to be true when your'e pvping.

Ima ask it for the one last time because i'm sick of asking that question agian,IS MECH ABS BUGGED?

How come that a 120 FS tank better then 117 MS with 265 ABS 3100 DEF and way higher block and hp ?

I just want some answers,i guess other mechs aswell.

Ahh,,and another thing,COMPULSION-DOES NOT WORK IN BC.~

Thanks in advanced.

You're talking about a fighter and a mech fighting alone against each other?

117 Mech:

HP: ?

Abs: 265

Def: 3100

Block: ?

Damage: ?

120 Fighter:

HP: ?

Abs: ?

Def: ?

Block: ?

Damage: ?

Fill those in, please.

1400 hp ,125 abs. 2100 def for fs.

ms 820 hp block 27 % from shield +ES LV/10.

MS damage is like 920-1250

fs was lower damage. the big question is how a mech being damaged with all that abs block damage ??

Since you didn't provide a block value for the fighter and I'm not sure about the effects of defense vs attack rating (which I don't know the values for either) or the effect of ES, this is going to be a huge simplification. But anyway, the mech would be doing around 1085 damage per hit, and 125 of that would be absorbed, so 960 damage per hit. If we say the fighter does around 800 damage per hit which is quite a bit less than the mech, 265 is absorbed, for a total of 535 damage per hit. However, since the fighter has a lot more HP, the difference that absorb does to survivability is not very big. The fighter will need 1.53 hits to kill the mech, and the mech will need 1.46 to kill the fighter. Anyway, the point is, absorb will not help you much for less frequent, high-damage hits. HP is easier to get, so it'll generally be a more important factor. In general, absorb becomes less and less useful the more damage you take per hit to the point of being near worthless (and can become insanely powerful the less you take).

Of course, if you just want to know why this particular fighter did better than this particular mech, I can't really give you an answer with so many unknown factors. Either way, absorb may be working like it should, the way it works just doesn't do much.

well.. fs block was like 12% 2 handed and ms 18.

the point that fs does extreme damage and it makes mechs abs n nlock useless on pvp. that's shitty. if a mech is a tanker he should allways stay like that.

Block is not useless in PvP. Block (and evade) actually scales with the enemy, so a high block should help you quite a bit. Defense does too in a way, but depends on attack rating as I understand it. Absorb doesn't scale at all, so 1 point of absorb can have an effect from anywhere between no difference to making you completely immune to damage. PvP and hunting tends to be towards the useless end of the spectrum, while leveling is towards the ridiculously overpowered end, and unfortunately the game doesn't have much in between. Personally I think absorb should be percentage-based and made a thread about it, but the interest was low and the feedback was of poor quality.
