Wartale screwed the server with this exp service.

There's no more fun in rpt. I call my friends to play here, but they don't want to waste money in the game, all of them quitted in less than 2 weeks.

Let me ask you, 129 is something on this server now ? And that's not only about level, level is just a part of it, you also have items, who in this server that haven't donated is full 124 ? I'll answer this for you, no one. But I'll keep the topic complaining about the level problem, the server have to profit in some way anyway.

Btw, I haven't donated 1 cent and I'm 133, almost 134.

I know what I'm talking here, in the past we could find a good spot to level but now... puff, impossible.

I did 80% lvling in ad1,ft2 and noobs maps like these (level 133), while who pay for those expers get the best exp possible, do you think this is fair ? Ya, me neither.

That's the point, there's no good spawn, just take a look at ad2, you'll only see leechers and 1 person killing there, that's bs.

At the end of the day he is right that donators keep the server alive. The disagreements come in with how much donators should benefit over non-donators. Its not like free to play games don't have cash shops with benefits, but I don't see many that allow you to essentially buy levels.

 

And to add to that, not everyone buys exp agents using donations, a portion of them use gold and/or items.

Your putting an awful lot of words in my mouth here. For one, I didn't even mention it was discrimination and agreed that donators had to be given benefits. Your not addressing the point I brought up here, which is how much or what donators should be given for their money. It doesn't have to be free levels, in fact, no game I've played can I name where that has been done. It varies from all games, some games only offer aesthetic appeals like costumes, while others provide minimal benefits [like exp potions], or others allow you to buy actual items [weapons, armors, etc.]. There are all kinds of ways you can be rewarded for paying for a game.

 

Let me make it clear no one is debating that donators should have all benefits taken away and do it purely out of good will, we're not that naive. We're not asking for sacrifices without payment, we're simply asking about whether or not there is appropriate balance for what the donators give. FYI I have donated once before.

 

You also failed to address my other point, about how the people who use items or gold instead of donations to buy their exp service help the server. You can argue they might've gotten it through donations, but for sure that won't always be the case and those are the people I'm talking about. How do they help the server?

For one, exp service wasn't even always around [at least legally as gogg pointed out], so we've done without it before and been fine. Second, to make that argument, you would need to prove that without the % of donations that come from exp service that you do not meet server upkeep costs. I highly doubt you have access to that information as a mod, and I'm pretty sure sandurr either keeps the server's financial information to himself or in a very tight-lipped circle.

 

You have valid points, but if you just reiterate your initial statement, ignore the other points that I brought up, and proceed to call me selfish for it, it's hard to believe we're being taken seriously.

I have not ever disagreed or argued about your points ! I just made clear about -Blind- said I put some discrimination about donator and non-donator.

Secondly, I have never said without exp service, the server will fall ! I just said exp service help maintaining our server, not "build", or "cover". And another point that -Blind- pulled out : he want to stop exp service ! Then I said "If we don't want to see exp service anymore, we must increase the donate rate (which is donate like hell), in order to help maintaining the server, all the thing you got (new gears, new maps, new quests, new skin, Server has paid for all of them) and where the money came from ?

Overall, zero, I totally agree that exp service must be balanced so that online game can be online game ! I've never argue ANYTHING AT ALL about your points !
