I forgot who puts a countdown on the website, but can you stop that?

 

Not once did the server go online after the countdown reached 0. It's unkind to fool rPT's players like that.

Occisus has a point. why bother with the timer if it's not accurate? It's not about not appreciating the work that's being done, just a suggestion to remove something useless.

well, stop complaining, the timer is the guidance how long its going to complete, lucky if complete earlier, patient if complete later

The one that is working hard from midnight to morning is not the one that puts up the timer.

There's a mod of some sort that does it, I forgot who.

 

The whole point is that the server has never been online before or when the timer reached 0. There is absolutely no point in putting it up.

The only thing it does is annoy the players.

 

If it's announced that the server is currently under maintenance for an indefinite time, most people would wait patiently until it is back online.

Now, people come back when the countdown is suppose to reach 0 and see it's still not up.
