Satanist 2 Posted October 5 Curious to know for current meta, what are your opinions when comparing the 3 melee range classes: ATA vs AS vs AutoMS? Does AS do well in the current meta? - I hear people say they are very average currently. Does ATA take the top spot? - Some say shield + good burst, hence they hit the hardest. Or does Auto MS do well? - Only single target all the time, but maybe fast attack speed and def buff makes up for it. Merenda 936 Posted October 5 (edited) You mean, PvE aspects? In PvE scenario you can barely compare AS to ATA. It's completely possible to play with Archer, especially in EtherBorne. At Dungeons, the Archer's main problem got evident... Archer is an pretty fragile class, but isn't the best DPS at Dungeons or Maps. In other words, you have the High Risk to play with, but you don't have the High Reward to balance this kind of risk. ATA overperforms AS in every single aspect atm. Better tank, better damage, better bonus on every single type of mob, a waaaaaaay comfortable. You can play Archer if you like, you'll have fun. Im just ponting the logical vs emotional. Let's take an example: - Knight is an fantastic tanker, you need an KS in your party. You have some logic behind playing KS; - Priestess is an mandatory support, you need an PRS in your party. You have some logic behind playing PRS; - Shaman is an fantastic Speed Booster + Good AoE Damage, you need an SS in your party. You have some logic behind playing SS; - Mage is an mandatory AoE Damage Booster with the eletric + water interaction, you need an MG in your party. You have some logic behind playing Mage; - Fighter can be the best DPS of the game with Tonic use, this class can abuse Ice Tonic (High Fire Resist), or even Fire Tonic (High Fire Bonus Damage), you need an FS in your Dungeon party. You have some logic behind playing FS; - Atalanta is the best DPS of the game, with every single bonus type + high speed + good accuracy, you need an ATA in your party. You have some logic behind playing ATA. -- - Brawler/Pike are pretty good support classes on Hellfire Catacombs (newest Dungeon), you need one of those classes (or even both) in your party. You have some logic behind playing BS/PS. -- - Archer atm is the worst class at surviving, so we do expect purely the best DPS of the game, right? No, you can't even try to compete against FS or ATA in DPS terms. You don't tank, you don't have good buffs, you don't have any utility. In Hellfire Catacombs specifically, you're so squishy, that you have to sacrifice the low DPS you have, to kill Fire Familiar mob (This mob doesn't give you EXP, but can HitKill you. So, having an Archer in party = slower party). You don't need an AS in your party. You only have emotional reasons to play with Archer, not logical ones. -- About the Mech, he's pretty outdated atm, GM said this class will be reworked.
