TadsK 250 Posted Monday at 06:48 AM This event was such a pleasure to be a part of. I'll be honest, when I first saw it went live, I didn't think much of it, but I decided to give it a chance and try new things and it was the most fun I've had in a while in the server, and I'll tell you why. I'll compile a few of experiences I had and provide some feedback on certain classes, maps, monsters, etc. 1 - I was able to experience some of the maps that are very poorly tuned with different classes Mechanician Story I took my 142 Mechanician to SL, ET3, Ice Mine, Ancient Weapon and Death Island just to try these maps with the event debuff in a few different scenarios. Boy, does it feel good to feel like a Knight and have Godly Shield active all the time. This just shows how % damage reduction is strong. Spoiler For those who don't know, Godly Shield gives Knight 24% damage reduction (with 1 hand weapon) and 26% (with 2 hand weapon). Now, for my mech, it is fairly well equipped, 140 set BSOL, Armor with aging, Shield/Weapon BSOL, Set Boss 1, etc. So, it has 299 ABS without any buffs. Well, in SL it took around 240 damage from mobs before any buffs and 50-60 with full buffs (474 ABS) Since the monsters are doing way less damage and you can have a minion help you tank in SL, I was now able to withstand some damage from splash even without full buffs, so I decided to try Maximize (lv 10). This allowed me to do a little bit more damage, so now I wasn't as weak as before (Spoiler: still not great) To use Maximize we have to give up our ability to use Metal Armor and Trine Shield, the two most important tank skills for MS. I have a claw that has 160 max attack power, so Maximize gives me 80% more max attack power. But, there's another catch: This is not multiplicative, this is just flat additive damage based on your weapon power. This means I get +128 (80% x 160) to my maximum attack. For reference: I had 1199-1451, now 1199-1579 damage. Now, I like comparing MS and KS skills. KS has a tier 4 skill called God's Blessing. This skill does not prevent the KS to use their defensive skills and gives the following flat damage bonus at level 10 (requires level 84): 148 Wait! there is more! This skill applied to both minimum AND maximum damage!!! So, just to contextualize this: The KS did not need a level 138 weapon with Sol Mix to get damage that is A LOT stronger and affects minimum and maximum damage, while having no downsides. Going back to the experience. Now that most of the survivability was being done with extra block (+13%) from Extreme Shield and abs from Compulsion (+39) together with the -25% damage debuff from the event, I at least was able to do some damage with the little help with Maximize and didn't have to pot as often, allowing me to have a little bit of fun attacking the mobs and seeing their health go down. Of course it was not as fast as a KS/FS with their tier 5 that does several ticks per second and is very satisfactory. On that note: Magnetic Spheres really should do something similar. This NEEDS a very big buff. Please make it hit often, have lower cooldown and let us see the big lightning moving through minions often for that dopamine hit. Magnetic Sphere: Attacks 1x per second for 6 seconds, 30seconds cooldown. Knight's Lightning Sword: Attacks 10x per second for 6 seconds, stuns, 18 seconds cooldown. Let's get back to the event and more feedback on the maps: ET3 (level 124) - It seems monsters here can do more damage than the monsters in SL (level 140) Now that I was allowing myself to get hit to dish out more damage, didn't have to pot so often as before, I was able to observe the effects of tanking multiple monsters and how much damage they dish out. It seems like there is still a lot of tuning to do on these maps, if you run the calculations, using 132+aging armor/shield or 140mixing gear, there is a very big difference than what is available in levels 124-132, that would be good levels to hunt in ET3. Why do these monsters damage don't scale to the level of defense these people have? Xetan and Naz Senior are just bad, bad, bad. Also, the Health Pool of monsters seem to be very high. Again, I'm level 142 and it seemed to me like ET3 monsters were taking almost as long as SL monsters to die. Can you imagine the damage difference I have to a 124 character? That is painful. Even more when you are lower level and need to pot a lot more not to die. CT3 (level 120) was the most satisfying map to go to. Health pools are way more friendlier and now even without doing as much damage, because the class doesn't permit, it was not as tedious as all the other maps to kill mobs. It helps that here you can group 3-4 mobs in many areas of the map. (More if you have a lurer/use luring skills) Ice Mine (level 128) I always enjoy the atmosphere of this map. I have mentioned before, even though the immobile worms are painful and break the flow of killing monsters there, it still has potential. Like other maps, it still has its issues with damage and health pool, but it is still miles better than ET3. The spawns here are a little better and lots of melee mobs helps a lot. Overall, thanks for giving me the opportunity to at least take my MS out and attack some mobs with it and feel that it is at least a little useful instead of just being a useless meat shield that doesn't even work on higher level content. To be continued.. Fighter Story This was the highlight for me. I had so much fun with my 131 FS. It is not very well equipped either, just some 128-130 items with mix and set boss 1. I took it to the same hunt maps that my Fighter has access to, and let me tell you, this was WAY WAY WAY more fun than the Mech. If you have played Fighter before, it also has a % damage reduction skill, which is a passive (Boost Health) It has values for 1h and 2h weapons. -25% damage reduction while below 25% HP with a 2 hand weapon. (This is very important!) This is where things get interesting, the Fighter requires a little bit of trial and error and testing to know how far you can push, but when you can hit that sweet spot, it feels amazing! Basically, with this event, I was able to get my fighter into a zone where he would take no damage or almost no damage from mobs in ET3, CT3, Ice Mine, etc. This meant that when my life got to <25% HP (Like 400 HP) I got that nasty 25% damage reduction and now the monsters were doing 1-10 damage max to me everywhere. Fighters also have a hidden passive I think, where it gets more damage the lower their health is. MORE DAMAGE = MORE FUN Needless to say, Fighters are no Mechanicians. They HURT. It was very satisfying to tornado around monsters in the hunt maps and see those ticks going up and their health bars going down. The cooldown is not that long, so you have time to hit them in the face with other skills a few times and then spin to win again not too long after that. The game play of the fighter becomes very fun, because you are actually killing mobs and seeing rewards dropping, experience rising, corpses pilling, etc. I believe this pace is more in line on the way the game was intended to be played and it has a little of that Action RPG/Hack-and-slash feel which is very rewarding and chill. Basically, if you haven't done so and have the opportunity: get a low level Fighter to play with! Do some mushroom caves, hunt lower level maps, you won't regret. Feel that leveling experience with it! It is a lot harder on higher levels (if not impossible, in some cases) to maintain yourself on low HP to get those bonuses, but when you hit that sweet spot where your HP regen keeps you at that range while you take 1 damage per hit and mow through everything in your path, it is worth it. 2 - Dungeons are fun! We all know how slow the server was in the last few weeks. It was very hard to get parties to play dungeons on global(trade) chat and it felt like it was crying. Well, this changed this weekend: It felt like a lot of people heard the news that dungeons were easier to survive and more forgivable now if you made mistakes due to the decreased damage. I have heard of a LOT of people used this not only for dungeons but to have fun in SoD and survive round 8 on their classes without being a top player in the game with full relics/16-17x/full itens +24/+15. I was able to play a lot of Bee caves, Sunken and Mush Cave. I used pretty much all the classes on these dungeons and had fun with them all. Solo Mush Cave hard with my FS was a blast. Duo Bee Cave with other people was fun as well, which would not have been possible with their levels/equipment without this event. I was able to run Bee cave without my PRS and be actively with 2 accounts instead of having other characters afk inside the dungeon just for buff/tank and leeching experience, which made it a lot more fun to play and not as hard to control. I had multiple Sunken runs with groups that were fun and chill. If you are an archer you now had a little time to react and pot instead of being annihilated by everything that walks beside you haha Can you guys share your feedback and what you experienced in this event? Maybe this will help staff do some tuning and balancing on the game, in some maps, dungeons, etc. For Wartale Staff: Please keep these events coming. They are simple, but a very good change of pace for us players. Double EXP, double Loot, More damage, Less damage, Double spawn, plenty of ways to spice things up on this game without having to come up with a masterful update. Thanks for everyone who read through this. Enjoy Wartale! 6

Love it, especially the part about Fighter as I'm myself playing and enjoying the Fighter too. Love the gameplay and those "ticks and spins". Now the event is over and I'm struggling in EB again lol, SL is more challenging but I can still manage.
