Ashitaka99 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 The only 1on1 skill the mage has, is still one of the lower (lowest?) of all the classes.

hoivien1456 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 Hey, the fire bolt also a "1 on 1" skill ;D, but it damage is ridiculous like a match's fire ;D ;D
Edgardo 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 You should level it up since there's a little boost (spirit + skill damage) It's a fix that was expected since far ago. ... that will be too much my friend. It will only be too much if one could 1-hit everybody 5 levels more than the person. We have to test in a mechanic using shield to see if it's too much. If we can kill the mech and can't kill the fighter then it's still weak (it should be a bit weak until excration) plus mech has a bug, but we have to test. Otherwise it's just "fair". Could be too much if you have that retrograde thinking that magician is a support class, though.
hoivien1456 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 Ye, Mg is likely slowly turning into a half-Killer, half-supporter class. Mg damage just high enough for exp-ing, not for hunting. And Mg's support skills are too many and stronger day by day...Opposite of support skills, offensive skills have no clearly change at all in spite of the change of all other classes. We have only two skills that can provide some support. Enchant Weapon and Magic Source. So, I didn't get your point when you said ''Mg's support skills are too many''

Edgardo 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 I know it will off-topic but I think the term "support" is being misused. Support actually means giving something aimed to help others only, not onself. And mage has none of those. Otherwise knight, atalanta, atcher, and mechanic are all support classes too. If you count distortion then pikeman will be support too. Another misconception is That mages were support once. They were not. They were made as damage class, to be weak (look at the low defence and abs) and with powerful spells (compare the forst tiers spells), but the original creators failed in doing so. That was what i'm thinking then. :-[. Mg Skills aren't weak, they just not suit for the meaning of 'Magician' :They were made as damage class, to be weak (look at the low defence and abs) and with powerful spells (compare the forst tiers spells).(That's only my personal opinion). 1337person 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 If only mages had a passive damage boosting ability like other classes. I hate having to recast SE and now EW.
hoivien1456 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2011 If only mages had a passive damage boosting ability like other classes. I hate having to recast SE and now EW. You're right, it's hard to recast a bunch of skills when being surrounded by lots of monsters. Especially ES & SE, you may suddenly die if ES wear out & weak if not having SE. :-[

Setsuna 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2011 it seems to work now. i tested with base spirit, lvl 1 wand and lvl 1 waternado so my damage was realy low. There was a noticable difference with and without EW. Of course you wont notice a big difference at higher lvls. After all its only +50min,+100max damage. I tried the same test but there was no boost from WP. So you got a noticiable difference? can you vid it for us?
Setsuna 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2011 well you cant see it in your character stats. you have to watch the monsters hp bar. thats why i tried with base spirit and lvl 1 wand, so EW makes a noticable difference. Of course you have to cast the same spell on the same type of monster multiple times to get a feeling of the min and max dmg you can deal with this spell. Anyway i wont do this test again. you have to do it yourself if you wanna know for sure ^^.
