Exp for Mech

Just wanted to hear some opinions

I have a 114 Mech, currently mostly spark with a little hybrid power. What is your opinion on the best build for my level for exp and when should i switch it. Such as, spark seems like it does less and less damage as i get higher and most maps are hunt maps with party quests anyways. What is the most efficient way to gain exp; grinding with spark mech or party questing with auto or power mech?

Just post your opinions if that makes sense!

Thanks :)

At your level, best build to exp is:

Spark 10, Automation 10, Physical Abs 10, Mechanic Weapon Mastery 10 and Metal Armor 10, rest of the points in Extreme Shield. On tier 4 go for Golem 10, Compulsion 10, and the rest of the points on Magnetic Spheres. And on T5, Precision 10.

You can up in ETQ using Automech, and while you can't join a party to ETQ, you can train on XP maps with Metal Armor, Compulsion and Extreme Shield, Killing with Spark.

But if you don't like Automech you can use this build:

Spark 10, Maximize 10, Mechanic Weapon Mastery 10, Grand Smash 10 and Extreme Shield 10, rest of the points in Physical Abs. On tier 4 up Golem 10, Compulsion 10, and the rest of the points on Magnetic Spheres.

Same as automech, you up on ETQ, and while you can't find a party, you can train on XP maps. Same Buffs. But with this build you will have to use Compulsion before it ends. It's fine because Compulsion is recastable. Still use Metal Armor, even at level 1. It will grant you some bonus abs.

On ETQ's, Automech is way better than Power mech.

With automech you can chose between using 110 STR, with gaya armor and Noob or AS shield, or you can put Armor MS+ with 2xx STR. Rest of the points on AGI.

And with power mech, you put all points on STR. Agi for set MS+.

Sadly, the only usable skill on EXP maps for mechs is Spark. And Spark is by far, the worst AoE skill. It has been suggested countless times to give spark a boost, but nothing have been done. To you get the picture, with a Knight i'm able to make about 35-38bi/hour on ad3 solo. With Mech, on the same spawn, i make about 12bi/hour. And Knights aren't the best class at XP Maps...

I have to warn you that on your level, with power mech, maybe some people will not give you a slot on partys quests. With Automech you kill really faster, and will not have the same problem.

Why not level up Spark shield but Extreme shield ? For Exp Map with great number of monster, I think Spark shield help killing much faster if you can tank.

I already did it and see that the damage is not correct. It should hit harder than Spark but with my 9x mech, it only hit around half damage of Spark.

But what I want to say is that Spark Shield do does damage on Mob, even if it is weak. So in MD with 20-30+ mobs, it somehow help me kill a little faster.

Can you explain to me why I should not use Spark Shield ? May be there is something that I overlooked.

I used Spark Shield from level 1 to 132. Then i changed to extreme shield and saw that i was getting the SAME xp. Spark Shield have the correct damage, its 138% of 300-400 (only the static damage of spark is affected).

The problem with spark shield is that when the mob gets spark shield reflected damage it don't get affected by your spark.

The same problem is happening to Magnetic Spheres. Yesterday i was hunting with Magnetic Spheres with pure automech, but i was dying too much, so i decided to don't use Magnetic Spheres, and for my surprise, i started killing Death Island Mobs 5-10 seconds faster. O.o

Thanks a lot, now I know why I kill so slow in MD1 :D.

But the damage of Spark shield which reflect only 138% of 300-400 is as intent or is it a bug ?

So im a 129 MS, if I use spark, with LOVE sword, or with my 122 claw, you're saying its the SAME damage given?
