Magician with the coming of the Tier 5 ...

With the coming of the magician 5tier have other benefits besides being tanker? Bless kill in anger? What would be good to Build Up to the Magician in your opinion?

I will be following the topic, that besides being a magician's nice char and a char with a choice of builds, like the opnioes all here =)

In the future I'll post a build to test them.

MP and SP boost is really good in T5, I'd definetly max that skill first and then put left-over points in Amplify.

The problem with mage is that with no delay dia you want it maxed, which drains sp, but you also need to add points to other skills to become efficient. And you stop gaining SP at 98?

 

I would do:

SP: Dia and SE are a must to max, then ES to 7, Agony to 8 and rest to MM.

EP: Maxed meteor and rest to FW

RP: MP boost propably, if stone spike is no good. If I could replace some damage skill with Stone Spike, then you could add some other skills too?

 

-MP Boost: With the current info you could gain over 1k mana and stamina with that skill and high Mental Mastery and decent gear. Always helpful and more mana reserve = more mana with agony.

-Amplify could work with maxed DR, but you'd have to sacrifice something then, propably Dia.

-I have to see T5 to judge Stone Spike.

-Execration makes 33 dmg x 33 sec = 1089 dmg is 33 secs = crap. At current state, don't even bother. Other classes do that in 1 second.

 

For hunting/pvp build you could do like 8-10 agony 5-7 MM , 10 DR, 7 ES, 10 SE, 10 Disto, 3 Meteor and 10 Amplify and rest to Stone Spike or MP Boost. With a high lvl staff/wand and rPT's skill formulas DR can hit quite nicely, it's fast and has a nice range. Disto is for PVP (and hunting) and the rest are to support high damage.

I was wrong to have put in agony, could put the earthquake lvl 10 in this Guide that shows no delay on any level, let it be anyway =)

I'll try to Build with Stone Spike 10 and talk if it's pean or not, have to see how it will be if it will be style earthquake area or meteor.

I can only expect massive mobbing ownage from any mage, hope that this Stone Spike skill maintain this course.

Good point that one. If you don't need agony, then you have some points to spare to other skills. Leaving Agony to 1 and MM to 5 would leave you points to max out DR too and do some nice 1on1 dmg with Amplify.

theres a problem for 1x1 mages:

 

with the actually formula of DR damage, theres no reason to raise it which is 'min static dmg(wp/2+min wATK*4) - max static dmg(wp+max wATK*4)'. With this formula, DR dont hit so much dmg plus it s only 1 hit, when most skills 1x1 dmg 2 or 3 hits (and i dont talk about CRITICAL which is a tool that magicians never dream about.....), besides the formula dont progress when you increase lvl, just the static dmg, therefore, DR hit less or equal AoE skills, which dmg 2 or 3 hits per cast....so i dont recommend DR till the formula doesnt change.

 

AoE skills are the only way for mages yet

 

So, i recommed Dias 10, SE 10, ES 6-8, MM 10 (remain 3-5 sp that could be used on enchant for assistance meeles, or agony, or dancing sword just 4fun), meteor 10, dist 3.....

 

...from t5 skills, magic source dont need to be increase (if you have 1800 mp, and you will, only 1 mystic mana potion solve your problems with mana); execration, like said above, dont sounds good (low damage in 33 seg), perhaps works if boss monster be hitted by the skill and really dmg permanently and be accumulated with another execration and so on; stone spike sounds very nice, but speculate about it is a wasting time if we dont know the formula and how much hits its does; amplify is a good one with the right build (DR 10, enchant 10, SE 10) with or without balanced formula.....currently i choose execration because magic soucer and amplify i dont need in my build, and we dont know stone spike which i hope it gonna be a very powerfull AoE dmger, really do.

 

For now, we have to pray AMEuaIeAEMAIUEAIeAMeaUHIEA

i got 44* spirit on my mage, Lv114 + Mental mystry Lv10 + Magic source Lv10= 47** MP

 

which means, u rly shouldn't care about making energy shield max, u will have enough mana to do many dias b4 your mana got sucked.

i have MM lvl 1 and ES lvl 10 since i was 10x and never got troubles with mana (high wp), it isnt an useful skill for a high lvl magician, and mana pot isnt a problem in the server......

 

comparing with atas t5 which gives to a lvl 120 ata +8 atk spd +10 move spd and 20% critic dmg or a prs 120 with thunder storm and ice meteorite, our t5 skills arent good and need to be revised also the t1-t4 skills need to be balanced.
