Stone spike not buffed by Spirit Elemental?

Recommended Posts

I finally hit 86 and was really exited about getting SS as I've been hearing all over how strong it is.

But it seems the damage is not buffed by SE.

At lvl 1 the dmg is 20 (233)- 37(465) unbuffed. With SE it jumps to 100(233)- 185 (465). So it buffs the damage OUTSIDE the ().

Now for Meteor unbuffed I have at lvl 1: 80 (161) - 110 (293) and with SE it jumps to 80 (481) - 110 (733). So it buffs the damage INSIDE the (). Why is it different?

Because right now that really gimps SS as the damage INSIDE the () is much higher than the one outside

Every Mage skill boosted by ES = outside the parenthesis.

In some skills it shown inside the parenthesis, but its just a bug. The boosted dmg is ALWAYS the fixed dmg (outside the parenthesis)

Ok well all my experiments how shown that Meteor > SS at lvl 1 each.

So I'm guessing it's like for prs where SS will outshine Meteor after a certain skill level where the number of spikes will drastically increase it's damage. Any testing been done to know when to switch from Meteor to SS?

I have used Meteor for a while(before the update),it is a good skill.

Stone Spike is surely stronger than it,but it is a "dias" skill and its casting time is really long.

I think you should max SS to 10,and only use it in exp/(weaker)hunt/SOD 1~6 stage. Better use Meteor in stage 7/boss hunt because it is ranged.(run-disort-meteor-run)
