A few questions for Priestesses

As the title explains, this topic will hold some questions about the Priestess class. Please only post if you have a priestess and play with her often. Also, please don't vandalize.

---------------------------------------------------------

First of all, hello everyone. I started playing Wartale a while ago and noticed many good points, such as changes on the game's enviroment like balance between classes and  playability. All the new features are also very interesting, and it's good we have all the classes participating in every event. I'd like to take a special look at the Priestess class, especially the new skill that has been added, the Ice Meteorite.

The skill Ice Meteorite damages mobs in area and has pretty good damage even with a tanker build (raising Health points to have more time before you need to use a potion). It will also freezes mobs reducing their speed, and the effect duration time is stacked with the previous one. That means if you cast it twice the time left will be increased again and again, allowing the mob's speed to stay reduced for longer.

In comparation with the skill Chain Lightning, the skill wins in damage for while CL's damage formula is almost the same as Ice Meteorite's, the latter's also include bonuses from the Force Orbs. However, there have been complainings that the damage isn't suficient and some prefer CL over it.

Personally I use IM much more than the CL. It has a multiplier of 7 (7 meteorites, each of them doing the damage written on the spell's information) for the damage. If a mob finds itself inside the area of damage of one or more meteorites, they will take more damage than if they were hit with CL, where they only have the chance to be hit once per skill cast. The only thing that kind bothers me is that most of the time some of the meteorites will hit places much far away from where the mobs are, going as far as falling behind the priestess and not in the mobs, then not delivering the complete damage that is expected. I am bringing this up because the damage of these meteorites that don't fall in or at least near the mobs is really a great loss.

Taking the above in consideration, I would like to hear from other Priestesses from varied levels and builds (of course, as long as you have the IM already) the following questions:

Level:

Building (tanker, full spirit, balanced, etc.):

From a range of 0 to 10 (lowest and highest, respectively), How sactisfacted are you with you Ice Meteorite?

Where do you usually train at?

Do you think there's anything to be changed in the skill (regarding damage formula)? Why?

Do you think there's anything that needs change (regarding the way the skill works)? Why?

I am playing with a Priestess currently at the level 112. I usually go soloing, sometimes a tanker helps, at Forgotten Temple's first floor. Personally I have no complains about the damage formula. It is actually pretty good. I just believe a better way (where all the damage hits the target) is necessary. Upgrading the formula would make the skill quite a lot powerful since if all the seven meteors would fall in the same place, we would already have 4k or more of damage being dealt with the current formula. So I believe it's more where they hit rather than lack of damage.

Please let me hear your opinions about this and your viewpoint of the spell. I would like to collect more information before this could become one possible suggestion to present the Game's Staff with. Thank you!

There is one thing that isn't clear for you my friend.

The main diference between Ice Meteroite and CL is the way the damage spreads. I mean, in CL, the damage go excatly where the lights go too, but the damage of IM is circle.

The meteorites are just effects, you can imagine the damage as a circle arround your pris.

@jingchy1

Well, I was talking more about discussing the skills and such, but thanks for you tips! I'll follow them.

@mollyxd

Well, I guess this closes the topic then. I've done a few experiences with my priestess to see how the damage worked around in different maps and, while I am still unsure, I think there's no much reason for keeping on this topic yet. I'll try to notice more the skill and how it works from now own. Thanks for replying. I was expecting the effects to be more like the mage's, while the damage would follow them, but turn out they might be just effects.
