thanhame3 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2015 I've been puzzled by this for awhile. The action [block] and [Defense] have appears often, but have i no idea what they mean. From what i think. Block seems to reduce a portion of dmg, i'm not sure how much, and how to calculate this. Is it a fix percentage? Like 25% each time you block for example. And Defense seems to be happen when you receive 0 dmg from an attack. The question is, does this appear everytime the monster hit you, but their attack is lower than your abs, s o you receive 0 dmg. Or is it that normally, you would receive dmg, let say 100, but when defense happens, you receive 0 from the attack of the same monster?
DerrubaCalcinha 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 Defense happens when the attack of the enemy dosent pass your Defense number, and you receive 0 dmg. Block and Evade are a percentage of "Block" and "Evade" the hit, you receive 0 dmg too.
maidana2 4 Report post Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Both actions mean your char got 0 damage. Let me briefly explain the process for you. When someone sends an attack hit into your char: First, the game randomly calculates if the hit got blocked. The higher your block rate, the higher the chance this hit gets blocked (Same for evasion and similar buffs) Then, if the hit isnt blocked nor evaded, the game randomly calculates if the hit got defended. The formula uses your opponent's attack rate and your defense rate. The higher your defense rate, the higher the chance you defend the hit. Then, if the hit isnt defended, the game calculates how much damage will be inflicted into your char's HP. This formula uses your opponent's attack power and your abs (and some other things too). The higher your abs, the lower the damage you recieve. Edited November 4, 2017 by maidana2 1
DarkLink64 921 Report post Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Evade, Block and Defense, they all do the same: To completely negate an 1v1 attack. Some Evasion sources can also negate AoE attacks, Pikeman Vague is one of them. The check priority is Evade > Block > Defense. Evasion sources stacks multiplicatively, while Block doesn't. Thats why, under certain conditions, you can achieve more than 100% of Evasion, but you will still get hit. Block Rate has % cap. Defense is calculated against enemy Attack Rating.
