Midnight

Scythe : Best Max Attack, Worst Min Attack, High Crit, Low Attack Rtg.

Mechs miss many attacks using Scythes, but they try to compensate with the High Max Dmg and Crit, but it doesn't worth at all.

Sword : Best Crit, Worst Max Attack.

Good Attack Rtg and High Crit compensate the low-medium damage.

Thats what Gogg said :B

But, in my opinion, Hammers still the best.

They have High Attack Rtg, so we don't miss too much using Hammers.

High damage that compensate the low crit.

Sword is the best item for mech.

I tried Scythe, sword , axe and hammer.

What midnight said about the details if each items is true...

When u use sword ( its /6 and high crit) you have more chance to hit high dmg against someone in BC and the monsters.

With sword you dont need count with max dmg. You have more chance hit crit , so your dmg will be nice ( with min dmg or max dmg)

Using hammer and axe ( its  /7 and the crit is not so high like sword) so if u dont hit crit or max dmg , ur hit will not be good....

Using Scythe u will have high max dmg and low min dmg, so u will need hit crit or max dmg, but here, if u hit max dmg with crit , ur final dmg will be more than hammaer and axe.

So , your chance to hit a high dmg is "equal" using Scythe  , axe and hammer, but ur final dmg will be high only using Scythe.

But using sword you will have a good chance to hit a good dmg more than the others and high dmg cause the critical is excelent.
