Static Damage Problem (MGS/PRS)

Recommended Posts

DerrubaCalcinha

Hi all!

Im wondering: Why MGS/PRS (and in the future, shamans, the awaited SHAMAN) still have static damage skills, that makes no sense.

MGS/PRS are the only classes that dont use they atk power (is an ornament?). What advantage a Bless crown, for example, offers to MGS/PRS? ANY  >:(

MGS/PRS have T3, T4 skills useless, because all they skills are static. (Other classes, for example, count on the fingers the T4 points, while MGS/PRS T4 its dead at 10x).

MGS/PRS could be very different classes if they follows the same system of the other classes. (%based skills)

Im at 12x, and i know how to play MGS (builds), but i dont have any desire. How to hunt bosses, for example, competing against PS, FS, KS? The only remain SOD is no longer a MGS/PRS dominion, several classes have an equal or better performance...

An the PVP... I dont even know where to start...  >:(

And for those who dont play MGS/PRS, and think the two classes are fine, think about one thing:

What would you think if the Chain Lance, Avenging Crash, Grand Cross, Vengeance, Phoenix Shot... had a dmg formula like this:

90 (+ (strength or agility)/2 + min weapon AP*4) - 119 (+ (strength or agility) + max weapon AP*4)

Wartale and their teammates are losing the opportunity to made MGS/PRS works like they never work before, in any other server i have seeing.

Thank you for reading this far.  ;)

Bless Castle Crown adds Will Power (WP). 10% Will Power, if my memory doesn't fail, it's the exact as 10% Attack Power. Will Power only works on Mage / Priestess / Shaman.

I kinda agree that Mages needs a buff to his 1v1, but like I always say, Distortion needs to be disabled / greatly reduced to do this.

But, if you stop to think a little, Mages and Priestess have some kind of advantage with these formulas.

Mostly they're based on Static damage + Spirit + Weapon ATK POW + Will Power. Base static damage, Spirit and Will Power make almost, if not more, +- 50% of the skill damage calculation, thats means that wands and staffs doesn't influence too much on its damage.

This means that you don't require a ultimate donate Staff / Wand +22 in order to do some damage, unlike all other classes. You'll still deals a good damage with your AoE skills with crap staffs.

If you make them work like Grand Cross for example, with something like 80% Added Damage, initially they'll just be weaker overall, since Magic Class  attack power are way lower than other classes, because of Staffs and Wands being weaker.

The only way to compensate for this, is a Higher % of added damage, which in turns, can make strong weapons, dealing too much damage, since , example, 80% of 100 is 80, and 80% of 200 is 160. The higher the % of added damage, more difficult is to balance overall damage with bad / good gears.

Also, to convert all Magic skills formulas to % added of your Attack Power, it would require lots of studying since there are many variables to mess with, and insane aumont of testing, to proper balance skill formulas based on Attack Damage for Mages/Priestess/Shamans. Too much work to output the same result as now, since, if RPT Staff want  Magic class to be more powerfull, they can do it, without overhauling their formulas for no reason.

I have no doubt, if RPT staff wants Magic class to be stronger, they'll make it, regardless of its formulas. And, the way the formula works, its better keep it the way it is, since it helps a LOT Magic classes with low level or with crap weapons. Think of it, i hardly believe that mages and priestess can level up quickly when low level, if their formulas would be normal as everyone else. o/
