I think it is if you don't care too much for pvping, because that might take awhile (don't pvp myself, but I guess you'll need high lvl and good gear to have fun in pvp).

And it seems they are working on new quests for the 9x-10x lvl range, which is the most problematic range for new players I think. It's not many details, but they posted about it in devlog #12, here is the link: http://thronum.com/forum/index.php?topic=162453.0.

 

So yeah I think the game is pretty friendly for new players atm and will be even better in the near future.

I think we really need ghost castle and the swamp so we can get more party play going on in the early levels. Or a revamp in the party system so people have no reason to not party. Then I feel it would be easier for new players and more fun of course.

How exactly does that work? You join the server, you make a character, you level easily early on then you get to an area you need help. Then you search hard and find it almost impossible to find someone to help you level. It's not like everyone who joins the server has an op high level character that can leech a lower level one.

I wanted to return but something tells me that it is not that possible anymore for someone to start from scratch and fully enjoy the game.

i never donated, and if i want to play i sure enjoy, know why? because i surround my self with people with same goal as me, Having fun.

 

we in Heretics understand whats going on server, and we decide to have fun. and be out of the drama of who holds crown of bless castle, or who wins with most BP Points.

 

my advice, look for people with same goal as you, and create your own good friendly clan, or find one to join.

That was 3yrs ago and for me that was the best time of the server. Gold and Coin balance. gold is as important as coins. Vietnamese vs Brazilian Vs Pinoys. missing the old times. hehe

Yes, I've only ever donated to switch a char.  Just follow the quests and you get up high in no time.
