The shadow clone is not that good. It's not exactly a clone.

It's just like the mechanician's metal golem, or magician's fire elemental. Except it's a pike (and it's a bit stronger, since it's tier 5).

 

So yeah, I wouldn't level up that skill. :

I only saw the shadow clone and the attack animation when pike used CL
