Both.

If you want fast exping in low levels and nice bless castle kills in higher levels go for Flame wave first, then Meteor, and only then Distortion. If you go for Distortion first, you'll become a punch bag. If you go for Flame wave + Meteor you'll become a killer. Trust me.

Observing the delay of both skills, i'm upgrading flamewave. It's better than diastrophism to lvl up because it has more damage. Of course you need to put all the mob togheter and than kill em all, but it's worthy.

I dont want to leave the topic, but i must, it's an strong obligation to me to ask you: is it possible to a high level mage to kill a high level other char in bless clastle?

Yes, buddy. I play a mage with full spirit build, flamewave level 10 and meteor level 10, and I do kill a lot. I don't even have to use diastrophism nor distortion. Now, imagine when we get the new Tier 5 skill: Amplify (permanently boosts 1 on 1 damage).

 

We'll kill even more.

 

The problem with mages, is that most people don't know how to play them.

That's why they think mages suck in Bless Castle. :
