Distorted Forest awards?

So I played for a little, and turning in my liquids I have received the following rewards

 

Mana pots (both mystic and super) - which I have no frickin need for because you go into an XP map and in two minutes get like a thousand of them

Red skill cyrstal

Integrity stone (ok so this one may be worth soemthing.... maybe)

Sacred Star

Sacred Leaf's

 

My question is, has anyone gotten anything truly useful from this event?  Is it worth playing?  Rude players just keep running by and stealing what you have on ground since its so difficult to pick up at once, its hard to find an open mob, its difficult to begin with with the space bar thing and everything, and there's not even a lot of gold there... is it a waste of time?

according to sandurr, you can get some rare hopy/cuepy costumes from this event.

I just saw the patch update.  So maybe I will give it another shot.  I love costumes!  Although, it seems to be easier just to pay the gold to buy one from someone who is selling.  We will see.  Gotta go to work today, hopefully this event will still be here when I get back on Wednesday

this is normal when you are in range of a monster, try to wield no weapon, (W) and it will probably be easier already
