Aptenodytes 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 at first I was thinking Multi Spark would deal an insane amount of damage. However, after testing the lvl 1 spell, it seems to be very bad. The skill description says: Quote Level 1 Damage Boost 8%/Spark Number of Sparks 3-4 Read more Originally I was thinking that every spark would deal 100%+8% dmg = 108% damage per spark. In this case, if you cast 3 sparks, you would deal 324% damage. However, what seems to happen is that every SPARK increases the damage only by 8%. So if you cast 3 sparks, you deal (100% + 3 * 8%) = 124% damage. It does seem that multispark is able to crit, but even then it is still not a very good spell. Even if you manage to cast the following level 10 multispark with 7 sparks, Quote Level 10 Damage Boost 12%/Spark Number of Sparks 4-7 Read more Your total damage will only be: (100% + 7*12%) = 184% damage. Compare this to the level 10 vigor ball: Quote Level 10 Damage boost 75% Number of hits 2 Read more This would deal: (100+75%)*2 = 350% damage. I have not tested this very thoroughly, but it seems Multispark is a very bad spell atm.
marce2125 107 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 Hi, If im not wrong 75% in VB, is total damage for both balls. 37,5% each. And both are bad for hunt, prs hunt with IM since 1 vs 1 has low damage. Cya.

I just wanted to quickly illustrate this by equipping a low level wand and attacking a lower level monster with my normal attacks and Vigor Ball, level 10. In this example, I am using a LVL1 Wand with 1-3 damage and a Bellum force. Total character sheet damage = 190-200. Average damage: 195 per hit. My character's weapon, damage and Vigor Ball spell as visible in-game, 27-12-2016. I am attacking a Slaughter in Forbidden Land, which has 1000 HP according to the site. Now I know this example is not perfect (as I do think some mobs have a small amount of absorb/resistances). Anyway, it takes about 6 normal hits with my wand to kill the Slaughter (6*195 = 1170 average damage in Total). A successful hit with a single Wand Attack, non-crit. I takes only 1,5-2 Vigor Ball casts to kill the Slaughter (just very slightly more than 3 individual balls need to hit, so I need to cast Vigor Ball twice). A succesfull hit with a single casting of Vigor Ball (two balls hit the target, not a crit). If Vigor Ball would work similar to Multispark, it would only add 75% to the total cast of the two balls casted by the spell and the spell would deal on average: 1,75*195= 341 total damage, then I would expect to require 3 complete casts of Vigor Ball (if the Slaughter has no resistances) to kill the creature with this total damage (1000 HP /341 damage = 2,93 casts). However, in this example it is unclear if 75% or 37.5% extra damage is added to each independent ball together with the base damage. In both cases (if the Slaughter has no resistances), I would require only 2 casts of the spell to kill the creature. If the balls deal 75% extra damage each, I would require: 1000 HP / 682,5 damage = 1,47 casts. If the balls deal 37.5% extra damage each, I would require: 1000 HP /536,25 damage = 1,86 casts. Three successful hits of 1.5 Vigor Ball casts (three balls hit the target, not a crit). Although it is very clear that I require slightly more than 3 single balls to kill the target, I do not think I need 3.7 balls (if they do deal 135% damage each) to kill the target. It might be that the creature has some kind of absorb/resistance or that the HP listed on the website is incorrect, but I cannot know for sure. At least it is clear to me that Vigor Ball deals damage twice (either 135%*2 = 270% or 175%*2 = 350%), while in my experience, Multispark only deals damage once (100% + #Sparks * % extra damage), which was the point I wanted to make. marce2125 107 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 I agree with you that hit twice, the difference between us, is if its 75% total or 150%. When i used to go to hunt i have to cast IM even against undeads, because VB is absolutely useless at the moment. But your point is right MS hits once and VB twice. Cya.
