Health build Mage, does it work here?

Hi guys, new to RPT.

 

I used to play lvl 12x "health" mages in other servers and they worked fine for tanking/leveling (of course not hunting)

 

Just want to check does it still work here? If not, should I then build stats for max gear? Thanks!

 

I can reset stats for free till lvl 100 so I can experiment a little  ;D

Thanks! Very informative! Seems like a moderate addition to health is much better (and looks nicer) than pure health mage (I used to have a lvl 80 mage with Elven armlets, long boots and master robe, all to health and spirit)  :
