Question about knights

I usually play as ms or fs, so I'll ask before making something and regreting.

 

1 - Does Drastic Spirit add to you abs on higher lvls? By default game formula, every 100def = 1abs, but on lower lvls, even with lvl 10 DS, you get no abs bonus for DS def bonus, does this change when you have like 4kdef?

2 - With a lvl 10 Divine Shield, if I'm hunting on an undead packed map like lost or ad, will I actually heal by getting hit?

3 - Is Divine Shield block rtg bonus flat or float? If you didn't understand, if flat it will give 4% block regardless of your shield, if float it'll give 4% block on top of your shield (4% more, if 100% block shield).

4 - Is there any use for DP in PvE? If yes, please elaborate.

5 - Does Godly Shield apply to your shield's abs or your total abs? If the second, why can't I use it without a shield, since it works like mech's PA or MA?

6 - Sword of Justice area is linear only or does it get wider?

7 - Does Undead Bane apply to AoE dmg as well or only 1v1 dmg?

8 - Is there a need for points in health? Knt's hp formula is not a good as fs and ms.

6- Linear, but a open linear

3 - Flat (I think it would be pointless if it was float)

4 - Yes, it deals good damage against mobs with high HP

5 - Shield's abs. GM's have changed it in the latest patches and now you can't use it without a shield.

6 - Linear

7 - Some say it adds damage for the target of AoE skills, but not the other ones hit by the area of effect.

8 - No

So, setting things strait:

- DS is useless unless you have a ton o def, so, it's useless below lvl 140;

- Godly Shield is utter garbage, it gives at top maximum possible with a perfect 140 shield +22 and a lvl 10 skill, a measly 10,4abs, wich is nothing at lvl 151 (10abs is only meaningfull below lvl 60), so it's useless;

- Sword of Justice should work like fighter's Cyclone, this is very good;

 

Now I change my question: why is knt so common?? I mean, if you go to aphrodite's market, aka ricarten, there will be plenty of knt, prs and ms, a few pike and fs.

I did see a post about how he kills faster than the others, is he so power as a dps? Because with a skillset this poor, he can't possibly tank...

True, but doesn't make it less useless though.

What is the whole point of not taking any dmg if when you do, you die? Also, in this game, tanking dmg is way better than not taking dmg, since, well, you get hit a billion times per second.

Also I've just realised, how come GS is so useless?? It's astonishingly useless. 25% abs of your shield? That is most worthless piece of garbage I've ever seen in such an expensive and high lvl skill, all classes are like "I'll have to lvl all the way to 72 to use my precious precious skills from tier4" while knt is all like "well, I have 3 skills and a piece of worthless garbage". Did you know that FS and PS elemental skills add abs (yes, absorption) only from a certain element? That fact alone makes FS and PS, two of the squishiest classes of the game, tankier than the knt.

 

This simply CANNOT be true. It would make a tier4 skill, wich was supposed to be hyperstronk, garbage. It would be even more useless than most ata's skills, and her skills are all (horrible flat)+(lvl/9) and such. I'll make a knt and test this out, it can't be, I refuse to believe this even exists...

Boosted Defense from Drastic Spirit do NOT increase ABS, and it always worked like that.

You'll only be healed when BLOCKING with a shield, undead damage. At level 10, it will grant you extra 4% block chance and will heal your hp up to 90% of undead damage. If their blocked damage was supposed to have 100 final damage, it will heal you 90 HP. This calculation is made on the undead raw damage(thus, final), not after being mitigated by ABS.

 

3 - Is Divine Shield block rtg bonus flat or float? If you didn't understand, if flat it will give 4% block regardless of your shield, if float it'll give 4% block on top of your shield (4% more, if 100% block shield).

 

Flat. If you have a shield with 0% block, when casting Divine Shield 10 or chaining it with Godly Shield, you'll have 4% block chance.

 

4 - Is there any use for DP in PvE? If yes, please elaborate.

 

If your Attack Rating is high enough, Divine Piercing has an additional of 40% Attack Rating when used with Holy Aura. It is mostly used only on 1v1 Hunting against monsters that you can use Divine Piercing without missing hits frequently. Against Undeads, it is still more worth to stick with Grand Cross.

 

My opinion: If non undead damages takes at least 5 of 7 hits, it is worth to be used all the time. If it misses more than 2 times in average, better stick with Grand Cross. Also remember that monsters in the same map has different Defense values. In Secret Lab, for example, Crios seems to be the monster with highest defense, while Sentinel comming in second. DP against these monsters might fail at a high rate, while others I can cast it that most of time, 7 hits will be landed, if not ,6.

 

 

5 - Does Godly Shield apply to your shield's abs or your total abs? If the second, why can't I use it without a shield, since it works like mech's PA or MA?

 

Godly Shield do not boost ABS but it is a flat damage reduction. If Damage is 1000, it will reduce 25% of said damage, going down to 750. Then, it will substract the ABS value, for example, 300 ABS, final damage will be 450. Godly Shield Damage Reduction (not chain block) used to work regardless if Knight was wearing a shield or not. Curently it is not working without shields, and to me this buff is Vital for Knights when going 2 Handed. This 25% damage reduction should come back for 2 Handed weapons or be implemented on other skills, like i've suggested my self, Holy Body.

 

6 - Sword of Justice area is linear only or does it get wider?

 

It is linear but has little bit wider area than Piercing, for example. Meanwhile Piercing linear range is far higher than Sword of Justice + 100% damage vs mutants.

 

7 - Does Undead Bane apply to AoE dmg as well or only 1v1 dmg?

 

It is explicit on skill description, only for 1v1.

 

8 - Is there a need for points in health? Knt's hp formula is not a good as fs and ms.

 

It is personal. Find the best build that suits you more. Before this new patch, I never used to put vitality on my Knight. Never.

Only the linear area. Width of skills generally doesn't improve with level, the exceptions being only area based on radius.  For example, skills like Brandish, Meteor, Stone Spike, Ice Meteorite, etc.

 

For Radius skills the said range value is applied to both X and Y values. Brandish for example has 120 area, that means it has 120 range X+, 120 X-, 120Y+, 120Y-. It means it actual range from the maximum left/right or top/bottom range is 240.

 

While linear skills only improve Y+.

I was right, there cannot be a skill this useless, it's just preposterous.

I did make a knt, it's rather strong actually, Drastic Spirit is a major help, Divine Shield is not so much though, I found by practice that only blocked dmg heals you... Overall dmg is pretty good, better than FS at low lvls, have to lvl up to try higher lvls.

 

Thanks for the answers, everyone, and I will play him, it's not so bad, even if Godly Shield was garbage.
