The recent changes forced the mages use Staffs instead wands if him wants the old damage, but how i'm up in exp maps using staffs? If I activate Energy Shield with Staff: With Staff I received more damage > the penalty of mana is very absurd > I can't use ->ONE<- Stone Spike, if I don't activate energy shield with staff I die. The best solution I found is use Wand and Orb (causing less damage) without Energy Shield and pot HP's, even so when the bosses spawned in AD3 for example, I die. I think it's not fair, cause the energy shield is a unique skill and the most utilitarian ability of the magician and now it has become unfeasible to use it in one of the most important activities of the game. Who had other characters, can play with them and abandon the magician, and who only had the magician? Will we have the gameplay compromised? This should be one of the priorities of the next update. Sorry for the outburst but it's really hard to play the game.

old formula help mage easier in training in exp map

if we make energy shield level 5, soon you will die in HG / SOD / Siege War.

I agree, I've stopped playing my mage as he either takes too much damage or doesn't put any out. I was trying to hunt and even with Energy Shield at level 7-10 I get 2 shot so need to lure everything to a pet. The only way to do damage then is to swap to my staff.. It's a lot of work. In exp maps you need to use the wand/orb and no matter what level your Energy Shield is it drains your mana wayyy too fast. I think the shield is being applied at the front end of the damage calculations as I can stand in Cursed Temple 1 afk with no spells on and don't take damage. I then put on Energy Shield and my mana evaporates. But the shield is only supposed to be directing 30% of the damage I'm taking into my mana. If I have 4k mana that disappears within seconds from 30% of the damage, that means my 700 health should be consumed several times over from the other 70% of the damage. To top it off in maps like MD I die fairly fast without Energy Shield on, I put it on and my mana disappears, but even at 0 mana the shield effect still seems to apply as my health barely moves. I've tried using the shield at 4-6 and it does help in sub-level exp maps to save your mana, but as soon as you try to hunt or go to a map on par with your level you die or have to up it's level to survive. A level 80 mech can tank as well as my mage or priest for that matter. Similar issue with a knight too that I find you have to use a 1h/shield or you die. This is all getting really disappointing and turning me off the game a bit.
