Grand Cross Sound

Hey Guys. U Remember maybe before the Grand Cross of KS had a very nice Sound. But seems the Admin fixed like if a KS next to me Use Grand Cross the Sound is the same like i use it. before it had a Special sound u heared just 1 Sound on it now 2. Is there any way to make this back xD?

I know exactly what you mean.

 

 

Grand Cross has 2 hits, each with its own sound. 

 

First hit, a horizontal slash output the same sound effect of Mechanician GS, right? Then, the second, the vertical slash with the cross mesh has a delicious organ sound effect.

 

 

What you're refering is a peculiar bug that PT as a whole always had. Original PT code always received and interpreted player data like trash. Many things where bugged and missing when you're seeing what others players was doing.

 

With Knight, it wasn't different, and the bug that external knights (not you) was causing the effect you're saying.

 

Whenever an nearby knight casted consecutive Grand Crosses, from the second cast and beyond, the game would, by mistake, render the second hit effect for both first and second hit. That means the cross would appear on both hits, instead of appearing only on the second hit (the normal way of how it should perform).

 

I agree with you, i've always enjoyed the spam of Cross meshes and that delightfull organ sound effect, but... 

 

...If it's missing now and the game is executing nearby knights animations correctly, that means the staff did a good job improving how the client receives data and process and render it on our screen. 

 

Thats a very good step ahead on improving the game engine! However I do miss it too :)

 

Outside of Knight Grand Cross, there were many buggy and wrong behaviors from nearby classes like:

 

Mage and Priestess never output pot sound effect and it's particle effect

Consecutive Archer Phoenix Shot didn't render any effect, archer would only execute its animation, but no projectile would be shot. That bug always grind my gears since, on PvP, sometimes we took damage out of nowhere, the reason was an ARcher using PHoenix Shot and the game client not rendering the projectile.

Pike's lance trail effect - I believe this bug is still happening, but most of nearby Pikeman skills do not render correctly the weapon trail effect, instead, a pure red or yellow trail is rendered. Also the sound effects are not output correctly, it always output a missing hit sound, even when pikes got their hit with success.

Knight Sword of Justice - Same thing as archer, consecutive casts, it didn't output any sound

 

 

I believe most of this list is fixed, i think a few still remains bugged.

Yes that what i was meaning xD. I Play also ept too and there the Sound is still the same, so when i came back to play here too i find out That the Admins already fixed it. Its a sound i love thats all :P

You can partially make the game to always output the sound effect for two hits, but as a consequence, it will play the Grand Cross sound for mecanicians too, and other skills that might use the same sound effect of the first hit.

 

 

Go to wav folder and navigate to morion skills. 

 

Find the Grand Cross file, copy it, then paste on the previous folder (named Skill).

 

Rename the file Skill_Swing 02.wav to something else, then rename the copied Grand Cross sound to Skill_Swing 02.wav.
