So no, parties are not better You are talking about gained exp and not of exp rate. The EXP RATE with a full party is 100x instead of 50x (solo). However, other things complicate things when converting exp rate > gained exp. Spawn Size Spawn Delay Monster stats(HP/Def/LVL/DMG/..) Your stats (and the members in your party) Killing Speed etc... Example Solo killing a mob which gives 1000 EXP gives you 1000 EXP. Full party killing same mob gives you 2000/6 EXP. BUT full party kills (in theory) 6 times as fast and can therefore kill 6 mobs in the time that it takes for you to solo 1 mob. That means you will get 2000 exp in the same time (with a full party) as you gain 1000 exp solo. THAT IS in theory and not in reality. With a well built party and and good spawn it should be faster gained exp than solo, at least thats what we are after. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
CurbYourenthUsiasm 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Problem behind that theory is that some people are capable of killing many mobs with aoe... so it's not like a hunting map where you'd be 100% correct that you'd kill 6 mobs in the time to kill 1.... but in xp maps it's different cause a full party would probably kill TOO fast... would need double the mobs to really take advantage of a full parties killing power... especially if it's a party where many people have aoes...
